Royals placed Matt Treanor (concussion) on the 7-day disabled list.

No word on when or how Treanor suffered the concussion. The Royals will be allowed to replace Treanor on the 25-man roster and can recall the veteran catcher in seven days if he's deemed healthy to return.

If he can prove to be even mediocre, he'll be better than what the Rangers have culled from the catcher's position up to this point.
