Thu Apr 14 201115:56Rockies' Reynolds earns first win in 3 years
Greg Reynolds earned his first major league victory since June 17, 2008 by allowing two runs over five innings Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader against the Mets.
Reynolds was 2-8 as a rookie in 2008 before getting hurt and missing much of 2009 and 2010. So far in 2011, he's given the Rockies a pair of quality starts, though he's struck out just three batters in the process. He's still likely to head back to Triple-A to make room for Ubaldo Jimenez in the rotation.

Fri Mar 18 201118:28Greg Reynolds turns in poor outing
Greg Reynolds didn't help his remote chances of making the Rockies' Opening Day roster on Friday, allowing nine hits and six runs in six innings against the Brewers.

Tue Feb 15 201101:01Greg Reynolds healthy and ready for season
After battling through various injuries since 2007, former top prospect Greg Reynolds is healthy again.
"It's all systems go now," Reynolds said. "I finally feel like my body can handle the wear and tear of a full season." Drafted second overall in the 2006 draft ahead of perennial All-Stars such as Tim Lincecum and Evan Longoria, Reynolds is trying to claw his way back to the majors, where he compiled an inauspicious 2-8 record and 8.13 ERA in 2008. Last year in the minors he topped the 100-inning mark for only the second time in five professional seasons, finishing with a pedestrian 4.74 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. He will need to stay healthy and improve on those numbers to have any realistic chance of seeing the majors again.

Tue Aug 17 201010:52Greg Reynolds throws seven shutout innings
Greg Reynolds (elbow) threw seven shutout innings on Monday in a rehab start at Double-A Tulsa.
Reynolds allowed only four hits and a walk while striking out four. It was a nice showing, but he's struggled in general at the minor league level this season and will probably remain in the minors through the end of 2010. With a strong spring next year, perhaps he'll grab a bullpen spot.

Sun May 23 201016:36Reynolds' (elbow) rehab assignment stopped
Greg Reynolds' minor league rehab assignment was shut down because of irritation he was experiencing in the back of his elbow.
The rotten luck continues for this once-promising hurler. Reynolds was previously on the disabled list with a bone chip in his right elbow suffered when he was hit by a comebacker during spring training and the nerve irritation will push his timetable back again. He'd made three starts in this last incarnation of his rehabilitation attempt prior to the setback.
