Ohlendorf's contract was purchased from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Ohlendorf signed a minor league contract with the Rangers on Friday that includes an invite to spring training, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
The majority of Ohlendorf's appearances in the majors have come as a starter (80 of 124), but it seems likely he'll compete for a long-relief role with Texas this spring. The Nationals are ready to move on, but Ohlendorf posted a 3.28 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 60.1 innings in 2013 and figures to at least earn a spring training invite from another club, health permitting.
