Thu Aug 8 201302:02Hanson gives up seven runs in loss to Rangers
Tommy Hanson yielded seven runs on five hits over 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rangers on Wednesday.
He struck out three and walked three and was yanked at 101 pitches. Hanson has now allowed 17 runs over 20 innings in four starts since returning from the disabled list (strained right forearm) on July 23. He's not giving the Angels innings, much less productive innings, at the moment. Hanson (4-3, 5.59 ERA) can only be trotted out in AL-only formats at this point.

Wed Jul 24 201301:50Hanson strikes out eight in return from DL
In his return from the disabled list, Tommy Hanson struck out eight and allowed just one run over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Tuesday.
Hanson, out since June 20 with a strained right forearm, scattered four hits and didn't surrender a free pass. Hanson (4-2, 4.75 ERA) entered the game with a 5.10 ERA, so this evening's performance was promising, even if it came against the punchless Twins. We still wouldn't trust him in mixed leagues.

Angels activated RHP Tommy Hanson from the 15-day disabled list.
Hanson, out since June 20 with a strained right forearm, will return to start Tuesday night against the Twins. The 26-year-old right-hander owns a 5.10 ERA and 33/17 K/BB ratio in 47 2/3 innings over nine starts this season and shouldn't be trusted in most fantasy leagues.

Sun Jul 21 201313:47Tommy Hanson to be activated on Tuesday
Tommy Hanson (forearm) will be activated from the disabled list to start on Tuesday against the Twins.
Hanson was cleared after striking out six and allowing two runs over 3 1/3 innings with High-A Inland Empire on Thursday. He threw only 59 pitches in the outing, so he'll surely be on a pitch count Tuesday. Given his 5.10 ERA and 1.55 WHIP this season, he's not someone fantasy owners want to stream, anyway.

Angels pitching coach Mike Butcher said that Tommy Hanson (forearm) "turned everything loose with no hesitation" during a 35-pitch bullpen session Wednesday.
It was the first time Hanson has thrown from a mound since going on the DL, and obviously it went well. It's not clear what the next step is, but he can't be far off from a rehab assignment.

Wed Jun 26 201319:11Tommy Hanson scratched with forearm tightness
Tommy Hanson was scratched from Wednesday's start against the Tigers due to tightness in his right forearm.
Hanson was a very late scratch, so he must have tightened up in the bullpen warming up before the game. Billy Buckner will start in his place. An update on Hanson's status should be provided after the game.

Fri Jun 21 201302:36Hanson allows 7 runs in 2 frames to Mariners
Tommy Hanson was skewered by the Mariners on Thursday for seven runs on six hits and two walks over just two innings.
He escaped with the no-decision in a 10-9 victory. Thursday's turd spiked Hanson's ERA from 3.94 to 5.10. The right-hander has a far more difficult task than silencing the Mariners next week, when he takes a 4-2 record into a date with the Tigers in Detroit. Make sure to remove him from mixed league lineups.

Sat Jun 15 201323:03Hanson solid as Angels beat the Yankees 6-2
Tommy Hanson held the Yankees to two runs over 6 1/3 innings Saturday as the Angels grabbed a 6-2 win.
Hanson struck out a season-high eight batters in an impressive showing against a fairly stout New York lineup. The right-hander yielded both runs in a shaky third inning but was otherwise sharp, yielding just five total hits and one walk while moving to 4-2. He has an improving 3.94 ERA and makes for a decent fantasy streamer next week in a matchup at home against the Mariners. Hanson, 26, owns a 3.64 career ERA.
