Sat May 22 201011:56Tejeda (calf) cleared to pitch for Royals
Robinson Tejeda has been cleared to pitch for the Royals once again after a calf injury sustained on May 14 had sidelined him.
Tejeda could have pitched on Thursday, but Luke Hochevar threw a complete game instead. He's healthy enough to go, so his usage now will be determined by situation and manager Ned Yost's desires. Tejeda is 2-2 with a 5.57 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP so far this season.

Robinson Tejeda (calf) is expected to be available by this weekend.
Tejeda injured his left calf last Friday during pregame warmups. "He's getting better every single day, so I look in terms of him being ready, hopefully, when we get home," manager Ned Yost said Wednesday. The Royals kick off a five-game homestand on Friday against the Rockies.

Robinson Tejeda injured his left calf during pregame warmups Friday and is considered "day-to-day."
Tejeda has thrown up a 5.77 ERA in 17 appearances this season. "He strained his calf yesterday, so we're just kind of taking it day-to-day," new Royals manage Ned Yost said. "I don't think it's going to be a DL issue. So we'll just wait." Tejeda was feeling a little better on Saturday.
