Mon Feb 3 2014 | 17:11 | Mets sign Farnsworth to minor league deal |
Mets signed RHP Kyle Farnsworth to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. |
Farnsworth turns 38 in April and posted a 4.70 ERA and 28/10 K/BB ratio over 38 1/3 innings last season between the Rays and Pirates. The Mets don't have much experience in their bullpen, so the veteran right-hander should have a decent chance at cracking the Opening Day roster if he's healthy. |
