Felix Pie homered and finished with two RBI in the Orioles' 6-4 defeat of the Rangers Thursday night in Texas.
Pie was activated from the disabled list on Tuesday and has not gone without a hit in the three games that he has played since. The outfielder should see regular playing time over the second half of the season and is worth monitoring in AL-only leagues. He's batting .364 in 33 total at-bats.

Fri Jun 25 201009:19Pie has two hits with Single-A Frederick
Felix Pie (back) continued his rehab assignment with Single-A Frederick on Thursday and went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Pie was 1-for-8 over two games with the GCL Orioles earlier this week. The Orioles have limited him to designated hitter duty because they don't want him to re-injure himself by throwing. He'll likely move to Double-A Bowie from here, with a possible return from the disabled list next week.

Mon Jun 21 201016:50Pie hitless in first rehab game
Felix Pie (back) was 0-for-4 in his first minor league rehab game with the GCL Orioles on Monday.
Pie grounded out to second base, third base and shortstop, and also reached on an error. He was pulled for a pinch-hitter with two outs and a runner on second base in the bottom of the ninth inning, but that's only because he was only scheduled to get four at-bats. He's expected to return from the disabled list by the end of the month, give or take a few days.

Orioles president Andy MacPhail said that Felix Pie (back) could return from the disabled list by the end of June.
Yet another Orioles' player on the comeback trail, Pie is currently at extended spring training in Sarasota, but we should expect him to embark on a rehab assignment soon enough. He has been sidelined since mid-April due to an injury to the latissimus dorsi muscle in his back.

Pie will continue the exercises for two weeks before being cleared to start hitting and throwing. "I feel great, but the trainers and doctors say I have to wait," said Pie. "The decision will be up to them and the manager, but I feel great." Mon Apr 19 201017:16Felix Pie (back) could miss three months
Felix Pie could miss up to three months with an injury to the latissimus dorsi muscle in his back.
Pie was placed on the disabled list with a strained muscle in his upper back last week, but further examination on Monday uncovered a more serious injury. There's been no talk of surgery, so it appears Pie will rehab the injury. "Left alone, I'm told - and they have significant medial information on this - the thing will heal itself as quickly or more quickly than if you did something on a surgical basis," said Orioles president Andy MacPhail. "But it's going to take some time to go through the process that it has to go through." Lou Montanez, who was called up from the minors last week, will likely share playing time in left field with Nolan Reimold and Luke Scott moving forward.

Pie suffered re-injured himself during Thursday night's game. He's slated to get an MRI on his shoulder on Monday. It's too bad, as Pie was off to a pretty good start, batting .400 (8-for-20) with one home run, two doubles and four runs scored.
Fri Apr 16 201000:15Pie re-injures shoulder in Thursday's game
Felix Pie re-injured his shoulder during Thursday night's game.
He was replaced in left field by Nolan Reimold, who should rack up a nice set of consecutive starts this weekend. Whether Pie's injury is deemed serious or not, there's clearly something wrong. He'll be reevaluated Friday.

Mon Apr 12 201022:10Pie homers in loss to Rays on Monday night
Felix Pie was 2-for-3 with a leadoff home run and a walk in a loss to the Rays on Monday night.
He also made a very nice throw to nail Jason Bartlett at home plate during the third inning. Pie hasn't shown great plate discipline, but he'll probably draw plenty out at-bats at the top of the order with Brian Roberts on the shelf.
