Webb (knee) will face hitters Thursday, MASN Sports' Roch Kubatko reports.

Webb (knee) should be able to pitch by Friday or Saturday, MASN Sports reports.

Webb underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed swelling in his left knee, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Mon Feb 23 201520:59Webb lost weight in offseason
Webb lost weight in the offseason, but he appears to be healthy following non-throwing shoulder surgery during the offseason, MLB.com's Britt Ghiroli reports.
Webb spent most of the season with the Orioles in 2014, but he was optioned for the month of August when the team acquired Andrew Miller. This spring Webb is trying to earn one of the last couple of open slots at the back of the bullpen. Webb is a strong ground ball pitcher, with a 1.95 ground ball to fly ball ratio, but his fastball velocity dipped to a career low mark of 92.00 MPH in 2014.

Webb is on an off-season throwing program and is ready to begin spring training like new. The injury nagged at Webb during the season, when he went 3-3 with a 3.83 ERA in middle relief for the Orioles. He seems primed to fill a similar role in 2015.

He hasn't pitched poorly out of the bullpen, posting a 3.80 ERA and 1.22 WHIP this season. Sun Dec 8 201322:12O's to announce Ryan Webb signing Monday
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Orioles will announce the signing of Ryan Webb on Monday.
Nightengale also adds that despite the addition of Webb, the O's are still intent on adding a closer. They have recently been linked to John Axford and Chris Perez, and it wouldn't be surprising to see them ink a new closer during the winter meetings. If they are unable to bring in an experienced option, Webb could be in the mix for save opportunities.

Fri Dec 6 201309:18Orioles ink Ryan Webb to two-year contract
Jonah Keri of Grantland.com reports that the Orioles have signed Ryan Webb to a two-year, $4.5 million deal.
Webb still needs to pass a physical in order for the deal to be completed. The Marlins non-tendered Webb even though he was projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn just $1.5 million in arbitration, and now he's going to get $3 million more than that on a two-year pact. It's possible Webb could be in the mix for closing duties in Baltimore if the O's don't bring in someone with ninth inning experience.

Tue Dec 3 201300:18Ryan Webb non-tendered by Marlins
Marlins non-tendered RHP Ryan Webb.
One of the more interesting names to not be tendered a contract before Monday's deadline. Webb doesn't pile up the strikeouts that you'd expect from someone with his stuff, but he gets a ton of ground balls and owns a career 3.29 ERA over parts of five seasons. He should be scooped up in no time.

Ryan Webb has been a steady veteran influence on Miami's bullpen, posting a 2.08 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over 26 innings in 2013.
The bad news, for owners in holds leagues, is that Webb has only one. Such is life for Miami relievers, who inherit leads about as often as deceased investigative reporters.

Sun Jul 29 201211:17Ryan Webb recalled
Marlins recalled RHP Ryan Webb from Triple-A New Orleans.
Webb posted a disappointing 5.50 ERA in 36 innings for the Marlins before being sent down earlier this month. He has the stuff to be a late-inning weapon, but clearly more consistency is needed.

Thu May 3 201213:40Webb, Mujica to handle ninth inning Thursday
According to beat reporter Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post, Ryan Webb or Edward Mujica will handle a save situation Thursday afternoon against the Giants.
Heath Bell is sporting a brutal 11.74 ERA in 7 2/3 innings this season and has also appeared in each of the Marlins' past three games. If the Marlins decide to remove the high-priced closer completely from his current role, ninth-inning responsibilities would likely be split between Webb, Mujica and Steve Cishek.
