Cristian Guzman was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Orioles due to a stiff neck.
Alberto Gonzalez was scheduled to start at shortstop already, so assuming Nats manager Jim Riggleman keeps him there, Adam Kennedy will likely replace Guzman at second base.

Mon Jun 21 201021:58Guzman's homer leads Nats past Royals
Cristian Guzman hit a go-ahead solo home run in a win over the Royals on Monday night.
It took 239 at-bats, but Guzman finally went deep. The sixth-inning solo blast off Bruce Chen proved to be the difference in the low-scoring affair. Guzman is hitting exactly .300 this season, yet he has a meager .327 on-base percentage and 714 OPS to go along with it.

Sun May 16 201012:54Guzman starts in right field for Nationals
Cristian Guzman gets the start in right field for the Nationals on Sunday.
The Nats have had trouble finding the right person for their right field vacancy, but this is getting absurd. It's a spot start for Guzman who hadn't played the outfield in the majors before this season. It's his second start and fourth appearance there of 2010. Alberto Gonzalez covers second base in Guzman's stead.

Wed Apr 21 201015:45Guzman starting at shortstop on Wednesday
Cristian Guzman will start at shortstop against the Rockies on Wednesday.
Guzman is batting .362/.375/.468 in 47 at-bats and has multi-hit games in three straight games, so it's going to be awful difficult to sit him down right now. Ian Desmond is on the bench.

Tue Apr 20 201022:39Guzman collects four hits in loss
Cristian Guzman went 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI in a loss to the Rockies on Tuesday.
The veteran continues to force the Nationals to play him, having now hit .362/.375/.468 on the season. He's worth playing in NL-only leagues.

Wed Apr 7 201018:29Guzman to start at SS in next day or two
Nationals manager Jim Riggleman said Wednesday that Cristian Guzman will get a start at shortstop in the next day or two.
Ian Desmond played his way into the starting shortstop gig this spring and will get the majority of nods there this season. But Guzman is going to cut into his playing time, and perhaps Adam Kennedy's as well.
