According to Bill Ladson of MLB.com, the Nationals are unlikely to sign Greg Dobbs.

The 33-year-old batted .275/.311/.389 with eight home runs and 49 RBI in 439 plate appearances this past year for the Marlins.

The Marlins have interest in re-signing Greg Dobbs, reports Joe Frisaro of MLB.com.
Dobbs batted .275/.311/.389 with eight home runs, 49 RBI and a .701 OPS over 439 plate appearances with the Marlins this past season. Greg Dobbs ripped a solo homer in Monday's loss to the Mets.

Greg Dobbs delivered a ninth-inning RBI double in Florida's Wednesday evening loss to the Reds in the second game of a doubleheader.

Hitting out of the three-hole, Greg Dobbs went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and five RBI in Tuesday's 11-2 victory against the Nationals.
Dobbs has had more than two at-bats in a game just once since July 8. He made this start at first base count. Dobbs has been a solid NL-only player this year, posting a nice .305/.347/.416 triple slash line with four homers and 32 RBI in 233 at-bats.

Thu Jul 14 201123:41Greg Dobbs delivers big pinch-hit
Greg Dobbs came through in the clutch for the Marlins Thursday, delivering a bases-clearing double in the ninth inning of a comeback win.
After Carlos Marmol loaded the bases on three straight walks, Dobbs hooked a ball to right field to put the Marlins ahead. He was credited with just two RBI on the play, as the third run scored on an error. Though he's scuffled at the plate since a hot start, Dobbs might make for a decent bench bat for a contender if the Marlins decide to trade him.

Wed Apr 27 201115:29Marlins' Dobbs reaches four times
Greg Dobbs reached all four times he was up Wednesday, gong 2-for-2 with two walks.
Dobbs has resumed getting more time at third base with Logan Morrison down and Emilio Bonifacio seeing starts in left field. He's unlikely to have any long-term value in NL-only leagues, but there are worse stopgaps.

Fri Apr 15 201122:14Dobbs pushes Marlins past Phillies
Greg Dobbs delivered a go-ahead pinch-hit two-run single in a 4-3 win over the Phillies on Friday night.
Dobbs singled off Danys Baez in the top of the seventh inning to put the Marlins ahead for good, exacting some revenge against his former club. The 32-year-old is a useful left-handed bat to have off the bench, but Edwin Rodriguez has given him a few starts at third base over the past week. That could continue after Donnie Murphy's knee injury, so watch him in NL-only leagues.

Wed Mar 30 201114:55Greg Dobbs makes Marlins' roster
Marlins purchased the contract of INF Greg Dobbs.
Well deserved. Dobbs enjoyed an excellent spring, batting .453 with one homer, six doubles and seven RBI over 53 at-bats. It looks like Donnie Murphy will get first dibs at the hot corner, but Dobbs should see some time there, as well.

Greg Dobbs (knee) is aiming to return to the Marlins' spring lineup this weekend.
Dobbs was scratched from Wednesday's game after complaining of soreness in his right knee. He took swings in the cages on Friday morning, though, and should have free range of motion by Saturday or Sunday. The 32-year-old is trying to land a utility infield gig.

Mon Jan 31 201112:50Marlins ink Greg Doggs to minors contract
Marlins signed INF Greg Dobbs to a minor league contract.
The contract also comes with an invitation to spring training, where Dobbs will attempt to land a spot on the Marlins' Opening Day roster as a utilityman. It's probably a longshot, though. He batted just .196/.251/.331 with five home runs and 15 RBI in 163 at-bats for the Phillies last season.

Thu Oct 28 201015:12Dobbs elects for free agency
Greg Dobbs has elected to become a free agent.
The Phillies could have retained Dobbs through arbitration, as he has less than six years of service time, but they obviously don't mind losing him. The 32-year-old batted just .196/.251/.331 with five home runs and 15 RBI in 163 at-bats at the big league level this season.

Fri Sep 3 201016:45Phillies bring back 3B Dobbs
Phillies purchased the contract of infielder Greg Dobbs from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Dobbs, who was cut on Aug. 17 after hitting .191 in 141 at-bats, came in at just .210/.286/.387 in 62 at-bats for the IronPigs. He'll be a pinch-hitter for the Phillies.
Tue Aug 17 201014:52Phillies designate Dobbs for assignment
Phillies designated 3B Greg Dobbs for assignment.
Dobbs was also designated for assignment back in June and passed through waivers pretty easily. Why? Because he's 32, he's batting .191/.250/.319 in 141 at-bats this year, and he is a .261/.307/.411 career hitter. Look for him to wind up at Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Mon Jul 5 201021:35Dobbs' homer proves to be game-winner
Greg Dobbs belted a two-run homer and also added a single Monday night.
The two-run shot proved to be all the runs Roy Halladay needed. Dobbs is batting a disappointing .184 on the year, and he was designated for assignment just last week, but he'll continue to see regular at-bats while Placido Polanco is on the DL, making him a viable NL-only play.
Tue Jun 29 201015:00Phillies add infield depth in Dobbs
Phillies purchased the contract of 3B Greg Dobbs from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Dobbs was designated for assignment by the Phillies just seven days ago, but the club has already come crawling back. He will get some time at third base over the next few weeks as Placido Polanco figures out what's wrong with his left elbow. Dobbs hit .152 in 66 at-bats earlier this season.
