Red Sox claimed RHP Santo Luis off waivers from the White Sox.

Luis, a 26-year-old Domincan, had a 4.34 ERA and 79/23 K/BB ratio in 56 innings last season at the Double-A level. He had allowed two hits and one earned run in three Double-A innings this year.
