Athletics acquired OF Eliezer Mesa from the Rockies to complete June's Mark Ellis trade.

He is the player to be named later in the deal. A speedy center fielder, Mesa posted .256/.320/.311 in 187 plate appearances this season for High-A Modesto while missing most of April and May with a wrist injury. Mesa had an All-Star season in the Sally League in 2010, batting .302 with a .777 OPS and hit .316 in the Pioneer League in 2009. He will be 23 at the start of next season.
