Carr was hoping to land one of the final spots in the Nationals' Opening Day bullpen, but he'll begin the year in the minors and then work his way up. The 26-year-old posted a 2.75 ERA between Double-A and Triple-A last season. J.D. Martin has also been sent to minors camp. | ||||||

After struggling in the minors, Carr improved his location of his fastball and slowed down his delivery. The adjustments helped him generate a surprising 6-2 record and 2.75 ERA for Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse last season. Regardless of whether he breaks camp with the team, Carr once again is a legitimate major league prospect. | ||||||
