Fri Nov 30 201218:03Mets non-tender OF Andres Torres
The Mets will not tender a contract to OF Andres Torres.
An expected move, as Torres was set to get a slight raise in arbitration from the $2.7 million salary that he earned in 2012. The Mets have expressed interest in bringing him back as a lesser rate, but he's probably best utilized as a fourth outfielder and backup center fielder at this point.
