Thu Sep 23 202114:03Chris Taylor Likely Still Unavailable On Thursday
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Chris Taylor (neck) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Colorado Rockies. According to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Taylor's stiff neck is feeling better, but he is "probably unavailable" off the bench for Thursday's game. Roberts also told reporters that Taylor would take some swings prior to Thursday's game. Taylor has missed several games this month due to his current neck injury. The Dodgers activated AJ Pollock from the injured list on Wednesday, so they have enough outfielders to get by for now. We'll see if Taylor can return to the field sometime this weekend.

Wed Sep 22 202108:31Chris Taylor Dealing With Neck Problems Again
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Chris Taylor (neck) was unavailable for Tuesday's game against the Colorado Rockies. He is dealing with neck trouble once again. Taylor was sidelined for about a week from September 11 to September 16 with the same neck injury, but he didn't go on the injured list and he returned to action last Friday. It's certainly concerning that the injury is flaring up again for him. He should be considered day-to-day for now. The 31-year-old veteran has slashed .258/.344/.448 with 20 home runs, 13 stolen bases, 73 RBI and 90 runs over 138 games on the year.

Taylor is dealing with a neck injury and he may require a trip to the injured list. Gavin Lux has seen an increase in playing time with Taylor out. Lux could continue to have a semi-regular role going forward if Taylor indeed lands on the injured list. The 31-year-old Taylor has been enjoying one of the best years of his career in 2021. Over 135 games, he's slashed .258/.346/.450 with 20 home runs, 13 stolen bases, 72 RBI and 87 runs.

Taylor continues to produce at a high level in one of the most dangerous offenses in the game and is now hitting .280 with 18 home runs and 66 RBI. Managers should continue to enjoy his versatility and production moving forward in all formats.
