Moylan, who is currently working his way back from shoulder surgery, has a 7.20 ERA and 8/3 K/BB ratio over 10 innings in nine appearances between the Gulf Coast League Braves, Class A Rome and Double-A Mississippi. He could join the Braves' bullpen down the stretch.

Peter Moylan (shoulder) tossed a scoreless inning in his first rehab game for the Gulf Coast League Braves Saturday.
Moylan needed only seven pitches to get through the frame, getting a strikeout and a pair of groundouts. He topped out at 89-90 mph. Coming back from shoulder surgery, the right-hander isn't expected back until August.

Though no firm timetable has been set, Peter Moylan (shoulder) indicated to David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Sunday that a return sometime after mid-May would be reasonable.
Moylan, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right rotator cuff in early October but recently ramped up his throwing to three sets of 25 throws from a distance of 90 feet. The side-arming reliever re-upped with the Braves last month on a minor league deal full of incentives and could be a factor in their pen if he shows he's healthy.

Moylan is currently working his way back from arthroscopic surgery on his right rotator cuff in October. He's expected to need six months of recovery time, so Moyan is hoping to be ready at some point during spring training. "They've got to clean up the labrum and the cuff, and it should be about six months," Moylan said. "As soon as you hear shoulder, the first thing I thought was every other guy who's ever had to have a shoulder completely repaired has been out for 12 to 18 months. I was fearing the worst." The Braves are expected to non-tender Moylan this winter but could bring him back at a lesser salary than what he would earn through arbitration.

Peter Moylan (back) passed a big test in his recovery when he appeared in back-to-back games with Triple-A Gwinnett Tuesday and Wednesday.
He struck out the side Tuesday and also tossed a scoreless inning Wednesday. Moylan will pitch one more time for Gwinnett on Saturday before rejoining the Braves on Monday if he has no setbacks. He's been out since May after undergoing back surgery.
