Sat May 21 201118:36Buck powers Tribe past Reds
Travis Buck clubbed a go-ahead two-run homer in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Reds.
The seventh-inning shot was his first home run since last April 20. Buck, who was the designated hitter Saturday, was unavailable for the previous two games due to turf toe on his left foot. The 27-year-old will have a chance for playing time with the injuries to Travis Hafner and Grady Sizemore, but he's unlikely to have much fantasy value.

Fri Apr 1 201101:16Indians add OF Buck to 40-man
Indians purchased the contract of OF Travis Buck.
Grady Sizemore and Trevor Crowe going on the disabled list surely helped his chances of making the team, but Buck did plenty of work on his own, batting .393 with four homers, five doubles and 12 RBI over 56 at-bats this spring. He'll be a reserve outfielder with the club.

Tue Mar 22 201119:03Travis Buck continues torrid spring
Travis Buck continued his torrid spring Tuesday, going 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and three runs scored in a 7-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
He's now batting a sizzling .435 this spring over 45 at-bats and has pounded four home runs while driving in 12. Buck's hot spring has vaulted him into a likely Opening Day roster spot, and although he could get some starts while Grady Sizemore is out, he's hurt by the fact that all three Indians' starting outfielders hit left-handed.

Mon Feb 28 201118:38Indians' Buck goes 3-for-3, homers
Travis Buck went 3-for-3 with a solo homer off Bronson Arroyo and three runs scored as the Indians smoked the Reds 12-0 on Monday.
Unless Grady Sizemore starts off on the DL or Michael Brantley plays his way back to Triple-A, Buck doesn't figure to make the Indians out of spring training. He may yet have some upside, but for some reason, he opted to sign with a team that has three left-handed-hitting starting outfielders.
Mon Dec 20 201014:36Travis Buck signs on with Indians
Indians signed OF Travis Buck to a minor league contract.
The A's former No. 1 prospect never reached expectations in Oakland and was non-tendered earlier this winter after qualifying for Super Two status. He's 27 and has just a .250/.330/.424 batting line over 587 career at-bats, and injuries have been a problem, as well. But, Buck still has some ability and we like it as a low-risk move from the Tribe. He'll compete for a bench job in spring training.
Mon Dec 20 201010:48Indians, Bastian agree to minor league deal
The Indians are nearing agreement on a minor league contract with outfielder Travis Buck, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian.
The 27-year-old was non-tendered by the A's earlier this winter after qualifying for Super Two status and becoming eligible for arbitration. Buck is still thought of as a talented young player, but he turned 27 in November and batted just .167 with one home run over 42 at-bats for Oakland in 2010.

Thu Dec 2 201021:12A's non-tender Travis Buck
Athletics non-tendered OF Travis Buck.
Buck, 27, was a near-lock to be non-tendered after it was announced that he qualified for Super Two status. The former top prospect was riddled with injuries this past season and batted just .167 with one home run and two RBI in 42 at-bats with the big club.
Fri Nov 5 201017:20Buck, Ziegler qualify for Super Two status
Travis Buck and Brad Ziegler have qualified for Super Two status, which means they'll be eligible for salary arbitration this winter.
Both players made $410,000 this season, but they'll now receive a big salary bump -- assuming they're tendered contracts. It's possible Buck could be non-tendered, as he's regressed in each of his four years in Oakland and was limited by injuries again this season.
