Tue Oct 22 201323:47Dodgers don't rule out Mark Ellis return
Dodgers general manager Ned Colleti indicated Tuesday that it's possible Mark Ellis could return in 2014 even after the signing of Alexander Guerrero.
The Dodgers inked Guerrero to a four-year deal with the intention of him taking over at second base, but if it turns out that he's not ready, they could pick up Ellis' $5.75 million option rather than give him a $1 million buyout. "We'll see," Colletti said. "I think Mark Ellis did a tremendous job here. I think Mark Ellis has value to this organization, with or without Guerrero."
