At this stage in his career he has trouble playing anywhere in the field, but for one night he did just fine as the Bucs' DH. Unfortunately for Hart, the team travels to Washington over the weekend and then returns home to play six games against National League teams, limiting his chances for additional at-bats.

Hart, who went 0-for-2 with an HBP on Sunday, is expected to see more starts with the White Sox throwing three lefthanders in the next four days, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Sunday's start was Hart's first since May 16. "Coach Jauss and I have been hunting rotations for 2 months," manager Clint Hurdle said. "This is the first storm we've run into where we're going to get a bunch of left-handers in a row." Pittsburgh is paying Hart $2.5 million and the veteran has totaled eight hits in 43 at-bats in a disappointing performance thus far.

Hart struck out pinch-hitting Friday, giving him a .200 batting average in 40 at-bats with one homer and seven RBI.

Since opening the season with three hits in six at-bats, Hart is 5-for-34. He has a good mentality for coming off the bench as a pinch-hitter, but a lack of production could cost him his roster spot.

Hart went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts Wednesday against the Phillies.

He has just two hits in 23 at-bats since starting the season 3-for-6. Hart's knees appear to be giving him difficulty, but it's possible he sees time Thursday afternoon, as he holds a career .303 batting average (10-for-33) against starter, Aaron Harang. Either way, it doesn't seem like Hart will get enough playing time to have much fantasy impact going forward.
