Orlando Hudson (groin) is expected to return to the Padres' lineup Wednesday.

Hudson hasn't played since March 13 due to a slight right groin strain, but he has made solid progress over the past few days. The veteran second baseman still has plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day.

Hudson's crash into a Sun Life Stadium wall on Thursday afternoon ended up looking much worse than it actually was.
