Tue Dec 7 201017:14Huntington: "Door is open" for Park to return
Pirates general manager Neal Huntington said that the "door is open" to free agent relief pitcher Chan Ho Park returning.
Huntington also said that the club hasn't contacted Park yet and that a deal wasn't imminent. Park, 37, posted a 3.49 ERA and 23/7 K/BB ratio over 28 1/3 innings after coming over from the Yankees in August. If Pittsburgh were to offer a major league contract, this seems like an obvious match, but if the Pirates present a minor league offer, Park might look elsewhere.

Wed Nov 17 201013:18Mutual interest between Pirates, Park
According to Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com, there is mutual interest between the Pirates and Chan Ho Park.
"We've expressed some interest and he has expressed some interest," said Pirates manager Neal Huntington. "But again, it's got to be the right fit for him, and it has to be the right fit for us. We're working through what that might be or may not be." Park, 37, posted a 3.49 ERA and 23/7 K/BB ratio over 28 1/3 innings after coming over from the Yankees in August. Langosch doesn't expect the Pirates to offer Park a major league contract, so the veteran reliever could easily end up elsewhere.

Chan Ho Park is hoping to play one more season.
The 37-year-old Park has posted a 3.49 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 28 1/3 innings since arriving back in the National League and should be able to find a long-relief gig this winter. Heck, the Pirates just re-sign him.
