Mon Oct 12 201519:28An MRI on Raji's groin Monday revealed no damage
An MRI on Raji's groin Monday revealed no damage, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Raji was removed from Sunday's win against the Rams due to a groin injury, and while it may not be severe, he was still unable to finish that contest. As the week progresses, his ability to practice will forecast if he'll be able to play Sunday against the Chargers.
Mon Oct 12 201511:32Raji exited Sunday's game with groin injury
Raji exited Sunday's game with a groin injury, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The extent of Raji's injury is uncertain, but he was able to remain on the sideline after leaving the game. Even if Raji's injury is minor, the Packers may opt to hold him out of the next game against the Chargers with the team on bye in Week 7.
Thu May 28 201521:29Raji (biceps) said Thursday that he back to full strength
Raji (biceps) said Thursday that he is back to full strength, Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Raji suffered a torn biceps in August, and it came with a recovery timetable of six-to-nine months. There was never much question he'd be ready for Week 1 in 2015, but his effectiveness is far from assured. Even if he gets back to the best version of himself, Raji has never topped 39 tackles or 6.5 sacks in a season, with both of those marks recorded in 2010. In a best-case scenario, he shores up the Green Bay defensive line but still isn't an IDP option.

Raji (biceps) is expected to sign a one-year contract to remain with the Packers, NFL.com reports.
Raji missed all of last season after suffering a biceps injury during the preseason, but the long-time Packer will apparently remain in Green Bay for at least one more year. While Raji's contract is expected to be a one-year "prove-it" deal, the Packers also agreed to bring back fellow defensive tackle Letroy Guion on Monday. With Guion coming off career-highs in tackles and sacks, Raji probably begin the season as a reserve lineman, but with Guion also facing possible discipline from an offseason arrest, Raji's presence adds nice experience and depth to Green Bay's defensive front.
Thu Sep 18 201416:54Raji underwent surgery on biceps
Raji underwent surgery on his biceps, which will be followed by a 6-to-9 month recovery process, Paul Imig of FOX Sports Wisconsin reports.
Because the tendon required reattachment, Raji's injury was season-ending. Even if he takes the full nine months to rehabilitate, his status for training camp next summer shouldn't be a concern. However, with free agency on tap this coming offseason, it's anyone's guess as to where he'll reside in 2015.

Raji (biceps) was officially diagnosed with a torn biceps and will miss the entirety of the 2014 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
The Packers' worst fears were confirmed Saturday afternoon after tests revealed Raji suffered a fully torn biceps during Friday's preseason contest against the Raiders. He'll likely undergo surgery in the near future and begin a lengthy recovery process with the goal of returning in 2015. Green Bay could look to bring in a veteran to fill Raji's massive - both literally and figuratively - void on the defensive line.

Raji will have tests Saturday to determine if his injured right biceps is fully or partially torn, NFL.com reports.
Raji suffered the injury in Friday's exhibition game. He might be done for the season if the biceps is fully torn. Mike Pennel is the backup nose tackle, though defensive end Josh Boyd replaced Raji on Friday.
Fri Aug 22 201421:08Raji left Friday's game with arm injury and will not return
Raji left Friday's game with an arm injury and will not return, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.
He was standing with the rest of the team on the sideline and didn't need to go to the locker room, so it's probably not that serious and the Packers are just erring on the side of caution.
Mon Aug 4 201419:32Raji (ankle) participated in practice Monday
Raji (ankle) participated in practice Monday, Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Raji sustained an injured ankle during the Packers' last practice Saturday, but his absence was short-lived. After a third consecutive dour season in 2013, the Packers' primary nose tackle will attempt to turn a one-year deal into a more incentive-laden contract with a bounce-back campaign.
Sun Aug 3 201416:30Raji suffered ankle injury Saturday
Raji suffered an ankle injury Saturday, but he expects to be back at practice Monday, ESPN Wisconsin's Rob Demovsky reports.
Raji doesn't sound particularly concerned about the injury, which seems to be nothing more than a rolled ankle. He's locked in as the starter at nose tackle, and will have plenty of incentive to play well this season while working on a one-year, $4 million contract. If Raji doesn't improve on last season's performance, he may have to settle for another disappointing contract.
Tue Mar 25 201415:23Packers confirm Raji will play nose tackle
Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed B.J. Raji will move back to nose tackle in 2014.
McCarthy said the Packers need to "cut [Raji] loose" and "get him over the center again." Raji has mostly played defensive end in Green Bay's 3-4 defense the past two seasons while Ryan Pickett manned the nose. Pickett won't be back. Raji will line up over center and should be flanked by Datone Jones and Mike Neal. Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews will rush the passer from the edges.

Fri Mar 7 201400:16'Indications' Raji won't accept Pack's offer
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports there are "indications" free agent B.J. Raji will decline the Packers' one-year offer.
According to reporters Tom Silverstein and Bob McGinn, the Pack offered Raji the "options of one- and two-year contracts." They confirm the one-year offer was worth roughly $4 million. Coming off an extremely disappointing season, there's no guarantee Raji will do better in free agency.

Thu Mar 6 201410:13Report: Raji mulling $4M offer from Packers
Sources tell the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that the one-year deal the Packers have offered free agent B.J. Raji is worth $4 million.
During November of last season, Raji reportedly turned down a multi-year deal worth $8 million annually and contained $20 million guaranteed. He's kicking himself now. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Raji is mulling the Pack's latest "prove it" offer and would be moving back to nose tackle if he does re-sign.

Thu Mar 6 201408:02Packers close to 1-year deal with B.J. Raji
Sources tell ESPN that the Packers are close to re-signing free agent DT B.J. Raji to a one-year contract.
It's telling that Raji is willing to accept a "prove it" deal from the Packers without even testing his value on the open market. He knows his value needs to be rehabbed. The five-year veteran's play has inconsistent at best and poor at worst recently, culminating with just 17 tackles and no sacks while getting destroyed against the run last season. As former Rams GM Billy Devaney recently said, Raji is "pretty much just a guy."

Wed Feb 19 201411:47Devaney: B.J. Raji is 'just a guy'
Former Rams GM Billy Devaney referred to free agent DT B.J. Raji as "pretty much just a guy."
Raji's stock has sunk sharply at the wrong time. He has zero sacks over his last 39 games (including playoffs), has zero forced fumbles in his five-year career and graded out dead last against the run among 3-4 ends in PFF's 2013 grades. Raji might be better off in a scheme that allows interior linemen more freedom, but there's a good chance he's also regretting the decision to turn down $8 million annually a year ago.

Wed Feb 12 201421:48Raji not a fit in 'new' Packers defense?
Speaking on NFL Total Access, Ian Rapoport said the Packers may let free agent DT B.J. Raji walk as they look to become more agile along the defensive front.
Rapoport said he expects the Packers to spend big in free agency in order to remake the Green Bay defense into the quicker, more agile unit DC Dom Capers envisions, and the 335-pound Raji is unlikely to fit into those plans. Raji reportedly turned down an $8 million a year offer from the Packers last season, and the feeling was Raji was looking to leave Green Bay anyway. Raji is our No. 3 free agent defensive tackle.

Sat Dec 28 201311:59B.J. Raji turned down $8M per year deal?
ESPN Packers blogger Rob Demovsky writes DE B.J. Raji reportedly turned down a contract offer from the team that averaged $8 million annually.
Raji is in the final year of his rookie deal and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March. Demovsky thinks there's a chance Raji would like to play in a defense that allows its defensive linemen more freedom to rush the passer. Raji hasn't registered a sack in two seasons after he put up 9.5 of them from 2010-11. He's seen his defensive snaps decrease over the past two seasons.

Sat Oct 5 201310:19Packers LE B.J. Raji has role reduced in 2013
Packers LE B.J. Raji has played just 58 percent of the defensive snaps through three games.
Raji played 68 percent of the snaps last season, and he missed time during some of those games due to an ankle injury. The former No. 9 overall pick is completely healthy but is being sent to the sideline when the defense goes in nickel and dime. The Packers have been rolling with Mike Daniels, Datone Jones, and Mike Neal on the defensive line in passing situations. Raji says he's fine with it. He is in a contract year, however.

Mon Jun 3 201319:41Pack to make Raji play out final year of deal
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Packers plan to make LE B.J. Raji play out the final year of his contract this season.
Raji has one year left on his deal, and he'll count $6.595 million against the cap. After working out extensions with Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews earlier in the offseason, the Packers aren't in dire need of cap space. Raji has reportedly been eating healthier, and the plan is to allow him to get after the quarterback a bit more in 2013. He had zero sacks last season.
