Boyd was waived by the Cowboys on Tuesday, Todd Archer of ESPN reports.

Boyd, who was a long shot to win a roster spot in Dallas, was waived to make room in the Cowboys' roster for fellow wideout A.J. Jenkins.

Boyd has made a number of outstanding catches in drills during the first week of training camp, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.

Given the Cowboys' depth at wide receiver he's a long shot to win a roster spot, but after missing his final year of college for disciplinary reasons, a good showing in camp could land Boyd on the practice squad, or attract notice from another club.
