Verrett (foot) is active for Sunday's game versus the Browns, Michael Gehlkin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
In advance of Week 3, Verrett tended to a foot injury, and while he took the field, he left early with only one tackle to his credit. His status as one of the Chargers' starting cornerbacks has translated to just six tackles (four solo) on the season.

Verrett (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns.
After being limited at practice both Thursday and Friday, Verrett status is worth tracking in advance of Sunday's contest, though with just six tackles to date, he's generally off the IDP radar.

Verrett (foot) practiced fully Wednesday.
Verrett's full participation bodes well for his chances of suiting up in Week 4, though with just six tackles in three games to date, he's largely off the IDP radar.
Sun Sep 27 201514:56Verrett (foot) ruled out Sunday against Vikings
Verrett (foot) has been ruled out Sunday against the Vikings.
Verrett is expected to be replaced by Patrick Robinson. With the Vikings relying heavily on the run in this game, his loss may not have a big impact on the wide receivers.
Sun Sep 27 201511:49Verrett (foot) active for Sunday's game at Minnesota
Verrett (foot) is active for Sunday's game at Minnesota.
The foot injury limited him in practice this week and reportedly made it difficult for him to make hard cuts, but he will play. With Brandon Flowers out for this game, the Bolts will take whatever they can get from Verrett in this one.

Verrett's rehabilitation from season-ending shoulder surgery is ahead of schedule, and he has been taking first team reps with the team this spring, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Despite missing 10 games as a rookie, everyone around the Chargers believes that Verrett will be an elite player. "He has the potential to be one of the top few corners in this league," said Philip Rivers of Verrett. "That's not to put added pressure on him, but he has been probably for me the most impressive guy on the field this offseason." Verrett had 19 tackles and one game-saving interception in the six games he played as a rookie, and more is exptected in 2015.
Sat Nov 15 201417:19Jason Verrett: (Shoulder) Done For Year
Verrett (shoulder) will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery to repair a left labrum that is torn in three places, Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego reports.
The first-round rookie didn't put up big numbers, but he was often praised for his strong work in coverage. He is expected to make a full recovery, and will likely move from the nickelback role to one of the outside cornerback spots. That said, he's a good fit in the slot, so he may still slide back inside in the nickel. Regardless, he'll be placed on season-ending injured reserve for 2014.
Fri Nov 14 201416:16Verrett (shoulder) out for Sunday's game against Raiders
Verrett (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
It looks like Verrett's torn labrum is showing no signs of letting up, as the rookie has not participated in practice at all this week even with a full week of rest. Verrett tried to play through his initial shoulder injury against the Broncos in Week 8 and that has cost him and the Chargers dearly.
Thu Oct 30 201413:25Verrett (shoulder) in line to miss two-to-three weeks of action
Verrett (shoulder) is in line to miss two-to-three weeks of action, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Per Rapoport, Verrett is dealing with a torn labrum, noting that the cornerback's status will be revisited after the Chargers' Week 10 bye, though at this stage, Verrett still hopes to be able to play through the issue down the stretch.

There is a "fear" that Verett made his shoulder injury worse Thursday night and could miss significant time, FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports.
More information will be available in the coming days, but this would be a tough break for the promising rookie. It would also be bad news for a banged-up Chargers secondary that got toasted by Peyton Manning.

Verrett (shoulder) will not return to Thursday's game against the Broncos, Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego reports.
Verrett tried to play through the shoulder injury that held him out last week, but he only lasted until the second quarter. The Chargers are left rather thin at cornerback, with Brandon Flowers (concussion) already sidelined. Richard Marshall and Chris Davis have taken on expanded roles alongside starter Shareece Wright.

Verrett (shoulder) left Thursday's game against the Broncos in the second quarter, and he is questionable to return, Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego reports.
Verrett, who missed Week 7 and was questionable for Thursday, presumably aggravated the same shoulder. With Brandon Flowers (concussion) sidelined, the Chargers will rely on Richard Marshall and Chris Davis alongside Shareece Wright at cornerback.

Verrett (shoulder) is active for Thursday night's game versus the Broncos.
Verrett missed last weekend's game due to a shoulder injury, which has apparently improved enough for the rookie to suit up Thursday. The first-rounder has impressed in coverage thus far, claiming an interception to go with 18 tackles (17 solo) in five games played.

Verrett (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Broncos, Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego reports.
Not having Verrett or Brandon Flowers, who is out with a concussion, would be disastrous for the Chargers as they take on the Bronco passing attack. Both have shined in their first year in San Diego, so the Bolts should be doing everything in their power to make sure at least Verrett can help the defense contain Peyton Manning.
Sun Oct 19 201414:41Verrett (shoulder) inactive for Sunday's game against Chiefs
Verrett (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
While Verrett (who had six tackles last week) is out, the Chargers' secondary will be bolstered Sunday by the presence of Brandon Flowers and Shareece Wright.

Verrett (shoulder) is expected to log his first NFL action during Sunday's preseason contest at San Francisco, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The Chargers' first-round pick of the 2014 NFL Draft didn't make an appearance during the first two exhibitions due to his recovery from a torn labrum, but Verrett will factor into the defensive backfield Sunday. A significant number of snaps may be difficult to tear away from the cornerback duo of Brandon Flowers and Shareece Wright in his rookie season. Nonetheless, return duties haven't been promised to any Charger to date, a facet of the game in which the speedy Verrett could make an impact.

Tue Jul 22 201422:35Bolts first-rounder not ready to practice
Chargers first-round CB Jason Verrett (shoulder) isn't expected to practice before August.
The Union-Tribune San Diego's Tom Krasovic predicted earlier this month that Verrett would be ready for camp, but August was always his timeline. Verrett underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in March. He needs to return before the Chargers' third preseason game, or he could be looking awfully green come Week 1.

Sat Jul 19 201413:20Rookie Verrett expected back in time for camp
The Union-Tribune San Deigo's Tom Krasovic says rookie CB Jason Verrett (shoulder) is expected to be ready for camp.
Verrett was expected to be out until at least August recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum. The early return helps his chances at earning a starting job in camp, but at the very least Verrett should contribute in sub packages as a rookie. The additions of Verrett and newly-signed Brandon Flowers should make the Chargers secondary a more formidable force this season.
