Wright had his first NFL catch in Sunday's tie against the Panthers.
Wright's reception could have been huge - it was a 24-yard catch that put the Bengals in field goal position for Mike Nugent's potential winner that he instead missed as time ran out. With A.J. Green and Marvin Jones without a timetable for their return, Wright will likely suit up again next week against the Colts.

Wright (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons, ESPN.com's Coley Harvey reports.

Sun Sep 7 201411:50Wright (concussion) inactive for Sunday's game against Ravens
Wright (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Even if Wright had been at full health entering the season opener, the Bengals still might have made him a healthy inactive. Wright beat out Cobi Hamilton for the fifth and final wide receiver spot on the Bengals' roster, the The Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner Jr. reports.
The report notes that Wright could still be released, as the Bengals may prefer their pick of other teams' unwanted players over their in-house fifth receiver. With Marvin Jones (foot) expected to return at some point before mid-season, Wright could eventually land on the practice squad, even if he sticks on the roster for the next few weeks. His role on offense will likely be minimal to non-existent, but he could contribute on special teams.
Tue Jul 15 201423:18Bengals impressed with rookie WR Wright
The Bengals have been impressed with seventh-round WR James Wright on offense.
It's notable because Wright was a strict special teamer at LSU. "(I) talked to him and said, 'Look, I know what you can do on special teams, now you've got to play wide receiver,'" were the words of WRs coach James Urban. "He's embraced it. ... We'll see once we get the pads on, but it's been encouraging." Despite Urban's talk, Wright's 53-man roster odds live and die with his special-teams prowess.
