Matthews, who underwent offseason foot surgery, has participated everyday so far in training camp, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
"It's doing well. The training staff has done a really good job staying on top of it. I'm feeling really good," Matthews said about his healing foot. It appears the foot won't be much of an issue by the time Week 1 rolls around. The 2014 sixth overall pick is slated to start at left tackle for the Falcons throughout the 2015 season.

Matthews worked in the Falcons' left tackle slot during Monday's practice, ESPN.com reports.
With the Falcons having lost Sam Baker to a season-ending patellar tendon tear, Matthews -- the sixth overall pick in May's draft -- appears in line to serve as the team's starting left tackle, while Lamar Holmes figures to man the top right tackle spot, previously held by Matthews.
Wed May 21 201416:07Falcons get No. 6 pick OT Matthews' deal done
Falcons signed No. 6 overall pick OT Jake Matthews to a four-year contract.
It comes with a fifth-year club option for 2018. Matthews was the second tackle off the board, behind Greg Robinson at No. 2 overall to the Rams. The former Texas A&M Aggie is expected to begin his career at right tackle in Atlanta, but it wouldn't be a shock if he and LT Sam Baker flip-flop. Baker is coming off a bad 2013 season that was cut short due to knee problems.
