The Jaguars activated Colvin (knee) from the reserve/non-football-injury list Tuesday.
Colvin is ready to play after recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in January. The Jaguars have high hopes for him, and he could see some action as the nickel corner next week, according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com.

Colvin (knee) has been moved from the active/non-football injury list to the reserve/non-football injury list, Jaguars.com reports.
The move gives the Jaguars a league-mandated 75 players on the active roster. Colvin, a fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma, tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl in January. The Jaguars expect him to develop into a major contributor, but that may not be until next season. "We are really pleased with Aaron's progress throughout the offseason and preseason," GM David Caldwell said. "He has been dedicated to his rehab from day one and worked extremely hard with our training and strength staff every day. He played at a high level at Oklahoma and we feel strongly about what he will bring to our roster in the future. He will continue his rehab and we will make a decision on his playing status for 2014 at the appropriate time."

Jaguars signed fourth-round CB Aaron Colvin to a four-year contract.
Colvin would have gone higher in the draft had he not been coming off a torn ACL. He ripped his knee up at the Senior Bowl and is a lock to start the season on the reserve/PUP list. The Jags believe he could contribute at some point later this season. Either way, Colvin could compete for a starting job as soon as 2015.
