Sun Mar 23 201415:49Ravens trade 2015 pick to Bucs for C Zuttah
Ravens acquired C Jeremy Zuttah from the Buccaneers in exchange for an undisclosed 2015 draft pick.
It's a late-round pick. Zuttah, 28 in June, is a Rutgers alum who was on the outs in Tampa Bay following Greg Schiano's departure. He ranked 22nd among 35 qualifying centers in Pro Football Focus' 2013 ratings, while incumbent Ravens C Gino Gradkowski came in dead last at 35th. Zuttah isn't an All Pro, but he's a stable addition to a Baltimore line that got rag-dolled all last season. Zuttah also ran a sub-5.00 forty time coming out and is a big athletic upgrade. He's a strong fit for new OC Gary Kubiak's zone-blocking scheme.

Sun Mar 23 201415:30Report: Ravens will trade for Bucs C Zuttah
The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens are expected to trade for Buccaneers C Jeremy Zuttah.
Per the Sun's Aaron Wilson, it's "unclear when the deal will be finalized, or the terms of the trade." Zuttah has been a release candidate Tampa and Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome is arguably the league's savviest GM, so we can't imagine the Bucs getting more than a sixth-round pick. Zuttah played below-average football in 2013, but was viewed as an ascending player before that and can play guard or center. He turns 28 in June. Zuttah's 2014 base salary is $4.5 million, so Baltimore will likely look to rework his deal.

Sun Mar 16 201420:00Bucs willing to trade Jeremy Zuttah
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Buccaneers are "open to listening to offers" for C/G Jeremy Zuttah.
Zuttah's $4.5 million base salary will be prohibitive, especially when interested clubs know the Buccaneers will likely just wind up releasing him. The Bucs' entire line took a step back last season, and GM Jason Licht has prioritized overhauling it. Zuttah, 27, has generally been a quality NFL starter.

Fri Mar 14 201420:22Giants a landing spot for Zuttah if released
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora considers the Giants a possible landing spot for C Jeremy Zuttah.
Zuttah's roster spot is in danger following the signing of Evan Dietrich-Smith. The Bucs are considering keeping Zuttah and moving him to guard, but can clear his entire $4.5 million cap hit without any dead money if they choose to release him. The Giants currently have just J.D. Walton and Kevin Boothe as candidates for their starting center job.

Sat Mar 8 201415:19Bucs could release C Jeremy Zuttah
ESPN Bucs reporter Pat Yasinskas reports C Jeremy Zuttah's roster spot could be in danger.
Zuttah has started all 32 games the past two seasons and can also play both guard spots. He has two years left on a four-year, $16.3 million deal. The Bucs can clear Zuttah's entire $4.5 million cap hit without any dead money hits if they choose to release him. Zuttah, 28 in June, is merely an average talent.

Thu Jan 31 201302:19Bucs' Zuttah gets slight pay increase for '13
Bucs C Jeremy Zuttah triggered an escalator in his contract, raising his 2013 salary from $3.625 million to $3.875 million.
Zuttah just signed a new four-year contract last offseason. He went on to start all 16 games, seven at center and nine at left guard after Carl Nicks was injured. Zuttah has missed just two games over the last four seasons, and with Nicks and RG Davin Joseph returning to health, he'll move back to center in 2013.

Mon Mar 12 201213:07Bucs plan to play Jeremy Zuttah at center
Updating previous items, the Bucs plan to play Jeremy Zuttah at center under new coach Greg Schiano.
It's ominous news for incumbent center Jeff Faine, who is due a $5.925 million base salary in 2012 and played miserably last season, but all accounts. Zuttah has the flexibility to play both guard and center, and he'll give the Bucs a well-put-together pivot at 6-foot-4 and 308 pounds. Look for the team to release Faine either later today or tomorrow, ahead of free agency.

Sun Mar 4 201222:22Bucs complete multi-year deal with LG Zuttah
Bucs agreed to terms with LG Jeremy Zuttah on a multi-year contract.
Zuttah played for Greg Schiano at Rutgers, and will return as the Bucs' starting left guard in 2012. RG Davin Joseph and C Jeff Faine make up the rest of Tampa Bay's interior line. Zuttah is particularly valued for his versatility, as he can play both guard spots, center, and right tackle. The 26-year-old (in June) graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 25 overall guard in 2011. Zuttah would have been much higher if not for eight penalties, the most by a guard in the NFC.

The agent for free agent G/C Jeremy Zuttah says "there's a good chance" Zuttah won't reach the open market.
"It seems the conversation is pointed (toward getting a deal done)," Zuttah's agent said. "It is definitely in the direction where both sides want to get something done, so it's just a matter of getting pen to paper and figuring out what makes the most sense for Jeremy." Barth converted 26-of-28 field-goal attempts in 2011. SI.com estimated Monday the Bucs are currently $67 million under the projected 2012 salary cap.

Sun Oct 23 201115:27Bucs lose G/C Jeremy Zuttah
Bucs G/C Jeremy Zuttah was forced from Sunday's game against the Bears with a left knee injury.
Filling in for an injured Jeff Faine, Zuttah was down on the ground for several minutes before being helped to the sideline. His day is likely through, but his injury did not appear catastrophic in nature. He's been replaced at center by LG Ted Larsen, while Derek Hardman is now in the game at left guard.

Fri Sep 16 201113:59Bucs elevate Zuttah to starting lineup
The Bucs have elevated Jeremy Zuttah to the starting lineup at left guard, replacing Ted Larsen.
The undersized Larsen got smoked by the Lions' defensive line in the opener, giving up a whopping seven quarterback pressures, according to Pro Football Focus. Zuttah isn't likely to be a huge upgrade, but couldn't possibly be worse.

Thu Jul 15 201012:38Zuttah will have to hold off Vincent
Coach Raheem Morris confirmed that LG Jeremy Zuttah will have to hold off newly signed Keydrick Vincent in training camp to keep the starting job.
The Bucs have been looking for an upgrade at the position ever since Arron Sears left the team early last offseason. The running game would be better off with Vincent starting, as Zuttah struggled mightily in his first season as a starter.

The Bucs are looking for a permanent replacement at left guard after releasing Arron Sears.
Jeremy Zuttah is penciled in as the starter for now, but 2009 fifth-rounder Xavier Fulton could push him this offseason. Fulton was drafted as a tackle and would need to take some leaps forward to win the job.
