The Philadelphia Inquirer expects seventh-round NT Beau Allen to compete for snaps right out of the gate in the Eagles' base defense.

Allen's chief competition will be Bennie Logan, who's a bit undersized for the position and got waged out at times against the run as a 2013 rookie. Allen is a massive body at 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds. He also has the ability to add more weight. Allen played 54 career games at Wisconsin, setting a school record.
