Fri Jul 25 2014 | 19:25 | Doug Marrone says LT Henderson can be special |
Bills coach Doug Marrone told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport he believes seventh-round LT Seantral Henderson "can be special." |
A former top high school recruit, Henderson had an up-and-down career at Miami and fell to the seventh round due to off-field issues. With Cordy Glenn's (illness, NFI) health status up in the air, he's a candidate to be a Week 1 starter. Henderson is making a case to be the Bills' left tackle of the future, with Glenn eventually moving to guard. |

Fri Jul 18 2014 | 21:30 | Seantrel Henderson to open camp as starter |
Bills GM Doug Whaley said rookie Seantrel Henderson will open training camp as the starting left tackle. |
With Cordy Glenn (illness, NFI) sidelined, Henderson will get first-team reps over Chris Hairston. It's a strong vote of confidence from the Bills, and makes Henderson the favorite to open the season as Glenn's backup. Henderson fell to the seventh-round in May's draft due to off-field issues, but has the talent of a Day 2 pick. |

Sat Jun 28 2014 | 17:30 | Bills OT Henderson saw time with first-team |
Bills seventh-round OT Seantrel Henderson saw time with the first-team offense during OTAs. |
With Cordy Glenn sitting out minicamp, Henderson was used at left tackle, with Cyrus Kouandjio and Erik Pears splitting reps on the right side. It's a good sign that the Bills are willing to give Henderson an extended look this early, and he should make the final roster as long as he keeps his head on straight. Chris Hairston is ahead of Henderson on the depth chart and would likely start at left tackle if Glenn were to miss time in the regular season. |
