Enunwa had one pass target, but had no receptions Sunday against the Dolphins.

Enunwa was the forgotten man in the Jets passing game, as he only saw one of the 23 passes that Ryan Fitzpatrick threw to his wide receivers. That said, the Jets threw the ball very little in the second half, as they were holding on to a big lead, which potentially hurt his chances for a productive game.

Enunwa caught five passes for 50 yards Sunday against the Eagles.

With Chris Owusu (leg) and Eric Decker (knee) sitting this one out, Enunwa saw 10 targets. The Jets fell behind early in the game and had to throw the ball often, but he was only able to average 10 yards per reception against an Eagles' secondary that has struggled mightily this season. Enunwa did a nice job getting behind the defense on his long gain, but he also dropped the ball on each of his other two targets. With Devin Smith (ribs) nearing a return to action, it's unclear as to what Enunwa's role will be going forward.

Enunwa played behind Chris Owusu and spent very little time on the field in a game the Jets controlled throughout the second half. Playing with the big lead, they didn't spend much time in multiple receiver sets, limiting his playing time.

Enunwa is expected to see time both in the slot and as an outside receiver, the New York Daily News reports.

This reflects how Enunwa was utilized in preseason games, and he'll likely see plenty of time on the field since new offensive coordinator Chan Gailey puts up to five receivers on the field at one time. The Jets will frequently spread defenses out, and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is comfortable enough in this system to utilize all of his receivers. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker will likely lead the team in pass targets, but Enunwa certainly won't be ignored.

Enunwa is competing for the role of No. 3 receiver, but he only caught two of his team-high six targets. Overall, he's had a solid preseason, and it would be a bit of a surprise if he didn't end up earning a spot on the regular-season roster.

Enunwa is competing to be the Jets' third receiver, but he only had one target in this contest. However, his competitors, Shaq Evans and Chris Owusu failed to see a single target, and Jeremy Kerley (concussion) sat this one out. Enunwa still is very much in the mix to make the team and see regular snaps in the offense.

Enunwa caught one pass for six yards on two targets Friday against the Falcons.

Enunwa played with the first-team offense, and he was used as both a slot and outside receiver. Despite not seeing many targets, this clearly is a positive sign as he tries to earn a role as the Jets' third receiver. The team used plenty of multiple-receiver sets, so if he wins the job, he could see plenty of snaps on a weekly basis.

Enunwa started but failed to record a reception on his lone target as the slot receiver Thursday against the Lions.

For now, Enunwa appears to be ahead of Jeremy Kerley in the competition for the Jets' slot receiver role. In addition, injured rookie Devin Smith (ribs) will also be competing for this job. Regardless, whomever wins the job is unlikely to see a ton of targets on team that will probably look to be run-heavy this season.

Enunwa was signed to the active roster Saturday.

The Jets placed safety Rontez Miles on IR on Saturday, freeing up a spot on the active roster for the rookie wide receiver. Enunwa, who has not played an NFL snap, was a sixth round pick of the Jets in 2014. He had 51 catches for 753 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior at Nebraska in 2013.

Enunwa has been waived by the Jets, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.

Look for Enunwa, drafted by the Jets in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, 209th overall, to head to the team's practice squad once he clears waivers.
