Chargers rookie NT Ryan Carrethers is still working with the second-team defense during OTAs.

Carrethers is a better fit for the nose tackle position than current starter Sean Lissemore, but coach McCoy hinted Carrethers has struggled to learn the playbook. "The most important thing is you learn the system," said McCoy, "And you've got to understand what you're supposed to do." Carrethers will eventually get the playbook down and figures to play meaningful snaps this season.
