Newsome did not have a tackle but did defend a pass attempt in Sunday's loss at Buffalo.

Newsome played just 16 snaps on defense as his pass-rush skills (6.5 sacks last season) were not needed when the Colts fell behind 24-0. He should get more playing time in games where the Colts don't fall far behind early.

Newsome had four total tackles and 1.5 sacks in Sunday's win over Washington.

Newsome has 4.5 sacks on the season as the 2014 fifth-round draft pick continues to see a growing role on the defensive line.
