Hunter turned six targets into four catches for 38 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills.
While his stat line is hardly impressive, Hunter's six targets in this game equaled his total number on the season coming in. The talented wide receiver has been a massive disappointment so far in 2015, but the added attention from quarterback Marcus Mariota offers a glimmer of hope moving forward.

Hunter was held to just one reception for 29 yards on two targets in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis.
Hunter has seen exactly two targets in each of the first three games of the season. The 24-year-old receiver has long been touted as an amazing physical specimen, but quarterback Marcus Mariota clearly prefers throwing to steadier targets like Kendall Wright and Delanie Walker.

Hunter caught both of his targets for 34 yards in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.
Hunter had a quiet game, but he wasn't exactly alone as no Titans wide receiver had more than two catches. The talented third-year receiver has tantalizing physical potential, but he hasn't translated it into any sort of meaningful success through two games in 2015.
Tue Sep 15 201515:00Hunter found not guilty of assault and battery
Hunter has been found not guilty of assault and battery, stemming from a July 3 incident at a bar in Virginia, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
Hunter's charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor in late August, and he's now been found not guilty. He'll probably avoid NFL discipline, but the league obviously isn't held to the same standard as a criminal court, so a fine or suspension can't entirely be ruled out. Hunter worked as the Titans' No. 3 wide receiver in Sunday's opener against the Bucs, catching one pass for 11 yards on two targets. He could perhaps push Harry Douglas for more snaps as the year goes on, but there's also a chance Dorial Green-Beckham overtakes Hunter for the No. 3 job.

Hunter caught 1-of-2 targets for 11 yards in Sunday's win at Tampa Bay.
It's disappointing to see Hunter record only one catch considering the Titans put up 42 points in this one. Tennessee only has four wide receivers on the roster at the moment, so the talented third-year receiver will have plenty of opportunities to improve his production moving forward.

Hunter's felony charge for malicious wounding during an incident last month has been reduced to a misdemeanor for assault and battery, The Tennessean reports.
Hunter was arrested earlier this offseason in his home state of Virginia for his reported involvement in a fight that occurred July 3. After posting $25,000 bond, Hunter has participated throughout Titans training camp, but will stand trial Tuesday on his reduced charges. Once a verdict is reached, more will be known about Hunter's immediate availability for this season.

Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt said Monday that Hunter has been trending up, ESPN.com reports.
Kendall Wright is locked in as a starter, but the snaps and targets otherwise seem to be up for grabs among Tennessee's wide-receiver group. Hunter is competing against Harry Douglas, Hakeem Nicks and Dorial Green-Beckham, with Douglas thus far looking like the favorite to start next to Wright. Hunter would benefit greatly from a strong preseason, but it's still hard to imagine a scenario in which he gets a steady volume of targets at the beginning of the year. There's also some chance he'll eventually be suspended for his alleged involvement in a fight this summer.

Hunter was targeted twice and had one catch for 13 yards in Friday night's preseason loss to the Falcons. He entered the game in the second quarter and made his catch on his first target, but showed poor instincts on the second one, failing to adjust on an underthrown ball that resulted in an interception.
Hunter's embarking on an interesting preseason. Already on an uneasy status with head coach Ken Whisenhunt, Hunter is facing legal charges stemming from an early-July bar fight. The fact that he was getting playing time in the second quarter along with the second-teamers is not a good sign for his fantasy prospects.

Hunter will be a part of the Titan's first practice of training camp Friday, The Tennessean reports. "Justin is here and he's ready to go," coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "We've communicated with the league and we feel comfortable with the process. He'll be on the field tomorrow full go. We look forward to seeing how he progresses in camp."
Hunter kicked off July with a bar fight in Virginia Beach, VA, and emerged from the event facing one count of felonious assault. The NFL has yet to hand down a ruling, but a suspension is almost assuredly in his future. While he awaits a decision, he'll continue to build his rapport with rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota in training camp and the preseason slate.
Tue Jul 28 201513:56Hunter expected to be with Titans when they open camp Thursday
Hunter is expected to be with the Titans when they open camp Thursday, ESPN.com reports.
The third-year wide receiver is facing legal charges for his role in a July 3 bar fight in which he broke a man's jaw, but his status is still under review with the NFL. Former NFL running back Cedric Benson served a one-game suspension for a comparable offense in 2011, but NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has a reputation for inconsistency when it comes to doling out discipline. Hunter has a lot of competition on the field as part of a deep Titans receiving corps, so it's critical that he avoids missing time in camp if he wants to play a major role in 2015.
Tue Jul 21 201517:22Hunter released from Virginia jail on $25,000 bond Tuesday
Hunter, who had been charged with malicious wounding for his alleged involvement in a July 3 incident, was released from a Virginia jail on a $25,000 bond Tuesday, the Tennessean reports.
A preliminary hearing for Hunter is scheduled for Sept. 3, but in the meantime, the wideout's attorney, Toby Vick, indicated that Hunter would report to the Titans' training camp next week. It remains to be seen whether or not Hunter will face any sort of NFL discipline as a result of the recent incident, but the report suggests that the league could elect down the road to place the receiver on the league's exempt list under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Hunter has been arrested for assault stemming from a reported incident that occurred on July 3, according to the Tennessean.
Per the report, Hunter -- who turned himself into Virginia Beach police on Monday -- continues to be held without bond at the Virginia Beach City jail. Meanwhile, the Titans released a one-sentence statement addressing the incident involving the 24-year-old wideout. "We are aware of the situation and are continuing to gather more facts."
Fri May 29 201507:24Hunter has had couple of good mini-camp practices
Hunter has had a couple of good mini-camp practices, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt, The Tennessean reports, but the coach qualified that in telling reporters "at some point, you either get it or you won't be in this league anymore. That's the natural order of the NFL."
Those are pretty ominous words from the coach, but it's something Hunter realizes. The 2012 second-round pick out of the University of Tennessee has shown flashes, but he's been invisible for long stretches and unable to get himself open. On the plus side, he averages 18.5 yards per reception and has scored seven touchdowns in 46 receptions. On the negative side, he's had zero or one catch in 14 of 26 NFL games and has caught just 42 percent of his targets. He's got size, speed and impressive leaping ability, but it hasn't added up yet. Hunter faces competition for his targets this season after the Titans added free agents Harry Douglas and Hakim Nicks, while drafting Dorial Green-Beckam (2nd round, 40th overall) and Tre McBride (7th round, 245th overall).
Thu May 7 201515:01Hunter
Hunter, whose 2014 season ended when he suffered a lacerated spleen, indicated that he has recovered from the injury, the Tennessean reports.
The report notes that Hunter, who caught 28 passes for 498 yards and three TDs in his second NFL season, will be present when the Titans take the field for OTAs next week. As Hunter re-establishes his role with the Titans, who selected QB Marcus Mariota No. 2 overall last week, he figures to face some competition from the 6-5, 237-pound Dorial Green-Beckham, the team's second-round draft pick, as well as veteran Hakeem Nicks. The three are in line to jostle for slotting opposite starter Kendall Wright, with Harry Douglas a candidate to work out of the slot for Tennessee.

Hunter has been released from the Houston area hospital where he was being treated for a lacerated spleen and is slated to fly back to Nashville on Wednesday, the Tennessean reports.
Hunter, who suffered a lacerated spleen in Sunday's loss to the Texans, is done for the season after being placed on injured reserve by the Titans on Tuesday. The 2013 second-rounder thus finishes the season with 28 catches for 498 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games. With Hunter now out of the team's receiving mix, look for Kendall Wright and Nate Washington to head the Titans' wideout corps going forward, with ESPN.com suggesting that Derek Hagan is likely to slot in as the team's No. 3 WR option down the stretch.
Tue Dec 2 201416:07Justin Hunter: (Spleen) Will Be Placed On IR
The Titans are planning to place Hunter on injured reserve due to the lacerated spleen he suffered in Sunday's game, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
The Titans have not revealed any recovery timetable for Hunter, but it appears his setback will prevent him from playing again this season. With Hunter sidelined, Kendall Wright and Nate Washington figure to be the Titans' primary receivers the rest of the way.

Hunter (lacerated spleen) is slated to spend at least one more night at the hospital, the Tennessean reports.
The report adds that Hunter could spend a few more days in the hospital beyond Monday, but at this stage there are no plans for the wideout to undergo a surgical procedure. Hunter thus appears on track to miss Sunday's game against the Giants, at a minimum.

Hunter suffered a lacerated spleen in Sunday's loss to the Texans, ESPN.com reports.
Per Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, Hunter will remain in a Houston hospital overnight to receive treatment for his injury, which will presumably sideline the wideout indefinitely.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, Hunter will remain in Houston, where doctors are evaluating the wideout for a possible lacerated spleen.
More on Hunter's status as we know it, but it's clear that the wideout's status for Week 14's game against the Giants is in question, based on Wyatt's initial report. Hunter recorded one catch for 18 yards in Sunday's loss to the Texans.

Hunter (knee) had four catches on a team-high 10 targets for 64 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Eagles.
Hunter's touchdown, his third of the season, was a bit flukey, as the pass should have been picked off, but bounced off a defensive back's hands and right into Hunter's hands as he was in stride toward the end zone. The 10 targets were certainly encouraging and up next is a Week 13 matchup against a Texans defense allowing the second-most passing yards per game this season.
