While his stat line is hardly impressive, Hunter's six targets in this game equaled his total number on the season coming in. The talented wide receiver has been a massive disappointment so far in 2015, but the added attention from quarterback Marcus Mariota offers a glimmer of hope moving forward.

Hunter was held to just one reception for 29 yards on two targets in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis.

Hunter has seen exactly two targets in each of the first three games of the season. The 24-year-old receiver has long been touted as an amazing physical specimen, but quarterback Marcus Mariota clearly prefers throwing to steadier targets like Kendall Wright and Delanie Walker.

Hunter caught both of his targets for 34 yards in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.

Hunter had a quiet game, but he wasn't exactly alone as no Titans wide receiver had more than two catches. The talented third-year receiver has tantalizing physical potential, but he hasn't translated it into any sort of meaningful success through two games in 2015.

Hunter has been found not guilty of assault and battery, stemming from a July 3 incident at a bar in Virginia, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

Hunter's charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor in late August, and he's now been found not guilty. He'll probably avoid NFL discipline, but the league obviously isn't held to the same standard as a criminal court, so a fine or suspension can't entirely be ruled out. Hunter worked as the Titans' No. 3 wide receiver in Sunday's opener against the Bucs, catching one pass for 11 yards on two targets. He could perhaps push Harry Douglas for more snaps as the year goes on, but there's also a chance Dorial Green-Beckham overtakes Hunter for the No. 3 job.

It's disappointing to see Hunter record only one catch considering the Titans put up 42 points in this one. Tennessee only has four wide receivers on the roster at the moment, so the talented third-year receiver will have plenty of opportunities to improve his production moving forward.

Hunter's felony charge for malicious wounding during an incident last month has been reduced to a misdemeanor for assault and battery, The Tennessean reports.

Hunter was arrested earlier this offseason in his home state of Virginia for his reported involvement in a fight that occurred July 3. After posting $25,000 bond, Hunter has participated throughout Titans training camp, but will stand trial Tuesday on his reduced charges. Once a verdict is reached, more will be known about Hunter's immediate availability for this season.

Kendall Wright is locked in as a starter, but the snaps and targets otherwise seem to be up for grabs among Tennessee's wide-receiver group. Hunter is competing against Harry Douglas, Hakeem Nicks and Dorial Green-Beckham, with Douglas thus far looking like the favorite to start next to Wright. Hunter would benefit greatly from a strong preseason, but it's still hard to imagine a scenario in which he gets a steady volume of targets at the beginning of the year. There's also some chance he'll eventually be suspended for his alleged involvement in a fight this summer.

Hunter was targeted twice and had one catch for 13 yards in Friday night's preseason loss to the Falcons. He entered the game in the second quarter and made his catch on his first target, but showed poor instincts on the second one, failing to adjust on an underthrown ball that resulted in an interception.

Hunter's embarking on an interesting preseason. Already on an uneasy status with head coach Ken Whisenhunt, Hunter is facing legal charges stemming from an early-July bar fight. The fact that he was getting playing time in the second quarter along with the second-teamers is not a good sign for his fantasy prospects.

Hunter will be a part of the Titan's first practice of training camp Friday, The Tennessean reports. "Justin is here and he's ready to go," coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "We've communicated with the league and we feel comfortable with the process. He'll be on the field tomorrow full go. We look forward to seeing how he progresses in camp."

Hunter kicked off July with a bar fight in Virginia Beach, VA, and emerged from the event facing one count of felonious assault. The NFL has yet to hand down a ruling, but a suspension is almost assuredly in his future. While he awaits a decision, he'll continue to build his rapport with rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota in training camp and the preseason slate.

Those are pretty ominous words from the coach, but it's something Hunter realizes. The 2012 second-round pick out of the University of Tennessee has shown flashes, but he's been invisible for long stretches and unable to get himself open. On the plus side, he averages 18.5 yards per reception and has scored seven touchdowns in 46 receptions. On the negative side, he's had zero or one catch in 14 of 26 NFL games and has caught just 42 percent of his targets. He's got size, speed and impressive leaping ability, but it hasn't added up yet. Hunter faces competition for his targets this season after the Titans added free agents Harry Douglas and Hakim Nicks, while drafting Dorial Green-Beckam (2nd round, 40th overall) and Tre McBride (7th round, 245th overall).

Hunter, whose 2014 season ended when he suffered a lacerated spleen, indicated that he has recovered from the injury, the Tennessean reports.

The report notes that Hunter, who caught 28 passes for 498 yards and three TDs in his second NFL season, will be present when the Titans take the field for OTAs next week. Hunter's touchdown, his third of the season, was a bit flukey, as the pass should have been picked off, but bounced off a defensive back's hands and right into Hunter's hands as he was in stride toward the end zone. The 10 targets were certainly encouraging and up next is a Week 13 matchup against a Texans defense allowing the second-most passing yards per game this season.
