Rivera hauled in two of his three targets for 12 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bears.

Rivera is one of three tight ends that saw time on Sunday, along with Lee Smith and Clive Walford, who were also in the mix. Walford didn't catch any passes, but he was targeted deep down the middle during the first quarter. Smith caught both of his targets for 14 yards. Depending on the weekly game flow, all three of these guys will continue to see time on the field. Rivera is a very low-end fantasy option, especially with the Raiders' plethora of options at the wide receiver position.

Rivera caught three of his five targets for 15 yards in Sunday's Week 2 matchup with the Ravens.

This was a step in the right direction after just one catch on two targets in Week 1. Rivera played 39 snaps to Clive Walford's 20 and he received three more targets in the process. This would suggest that Rivera is still the top option at tight end, but neither of these two have proven to be major fantasy players up to this point.

Rivera caught one pass for four yards on two targets in Week 1's loss to the Bengals.

Meanwhile, Clive Walford was targeted twice in the game, catching one pass for one yard. While things could look up for either player in the coming weeks, until the Raiders involve their tight ends in the offense more, neither Rivera or Walford will be high-percentage fantasy plays.

Rivera and Clive Walford both started Friday's preseason opener against the Rams.

The Raiders opened in a two-tight end set, which probably won't be one of their more popular looks in the regular season. Rivera didn't get any targets in Friday's game, while rookie Clive Walford caught both of his targets for 28 yards from backup quarterback Christian Ponder. Walford missed a good chunk of training camp with an undisclosed injury but still has plenty of time to push Rivera for the starting job.

Rivera caught 58 passes on 101 targets for 534 yards and four touchdowns in 2014. He also fumbled three times, losing one.

The second-year tight end was limited to just 13 catches in the Raiders' first six games, but another injury to David Ausberry opened up additional snaps, and Rivera went on to finish second on the team (behind James Jones) in targets, catches and receiving touchdowns. With Ausberry set to become an unrestricted free agent, the door is open for Rivera to enter 2015 as the unquestioned top option at the position for Oakland. He won't have Greg Olson calling the plays any more -- Olson signed on to be the Jaguars' offensive coordinator -- but Rivera seems to have quarterback Derek Carr's trust, and the two should be able to build on the strong rapport they established this season.

Rivera caught one pass on four targets for five yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over the Bills.

A week after totaling just 39 yards on 12 targets against Kansas City, Rivera saw a mere four looks against Buffalo, as Derek Carr relied heavily on receivers Kenbrell Thompkins and Andre Holmes. Rivera will continue to make for a high-risk option next week against Denver, but there is some upside here, as he did manage a 6-64-1 line against the Broncos back in Week 10.

Rivera had seven catches on 12 targets for 39 yards Sunday against the Chiefs.

Rivera co-led the team in targets with wideout Andre Holmes, but quarterback Derek Carr's lone touchdown pass went to James Jones with 34 seconds left in the game. The rookie quarterback is just too inconsistent for Rivera to be a decent fantasy option, particularly in Week 16 against the Bills, who held Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to 185 yards and two interceptions Sunday.

Rivera caught 7-of-7 targets for a season-high 109 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-13 win over the 49ers.

Rivera had some productive games in the middle of the season, but had struggled in his previous three contests, catching 7-of-15 targets for 69 yards. In Week 15, Rivera will face the Chiefs, who have been stingy against the pass this season.

Rivera caught 1-of-4 targets for eight yards in Thursday's 24-20 win over the Chiefs.

Rivera's one reception converted a crucial third down on the game's final drive, but with just four catches for 48 yards over the last two weeks, his performance from Weeks 8-10 looks increasingly fluky. Derek Carr is still spreading the ball around, and the Raiders still have perhaps the least effective passing game in the league.

Rivera caught three passes on five targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Chargers.

While it represented a significant step back in terms of production from his previous three games, Rivera did have a season-long 33-yard catch in the first quarter and finished second on the team in receiving yards. Rivera may be the top option in the fantasy wasteland that is Oakland, but he will remain a fringe starter in most 10-12 team leagues.

Rivera caught 6-of-6 targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-17 loss to the Broncos.

While it was a productive performance from Rivera, keep in mind that he was extremely quiet, until he had three catches for 39 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown, on the Raiders' final drive of the game. In fact, the aforementioned score came with only 48 seconds remaining. Even still, fantasy owners that picked up Rivera after last week's two-touchdown outing, are happy with Sunday's results. Next up for him will be the Chargers on the road.

Rivera caught 8-of-11 targets for 38 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-24 loss at Seattle.

While he didn't rack up much yardage, he was useful in both standard and PPR formats Sunday. He's actually been productive in back-to-back weeks, catching 15-of-20 targets for 121 yards. He'll face the Broncos in Week 10.

Rivera caught seven passes on nine targets for a team-high 83 yards in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Browns.

The 24-year-old set a new career high and exceeded his output from his previous five games combined with the 83 yards, 22 of which came on a spectacular one-yarded grab just before halftime. Rivera hadn't seen more than four targets in any of his previous four games, but he seems to be gaining not only Derek Carr's trust, but offensive coordinator Greg Olson's as well.

Rivera was targeted three times but failed to catch a pass in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Chargers.

Rivera is now averaging an abysmal 3.4 yards per target through five games this season, and while he figures to remain the top pass-catching option at the tight end position for Oakland, there's little-to-nothing to like from a fantasy perspective.

Rivera hauled in two of four targets for 10 yards in last Sunday's loss to the Dolphins.

After seeing 13 targets in the Raiders' first two games of the season, Rivera has received just eight looks in the past two weeks. He's totaled all of 83 yards on those 21 targets this season (3.9 yards per target), but he was on the field for 63 offensive snaps Sunday, compared to just 32 for David Ausberry. Despite his lackluster production to this point, Rivera will likely continue to serve as the top receiving option at the tight end position for Oakland, and it's possible new head coach Tony Sparano could find ways to improve the offensive during the bye week.

Rivera caught five passes on seven targets for 31 yards in last Sunday's loss to the Texans.

The 24-year-old also had a crucial fumble on the opening drive of the second half, with the Raiders driving into Houston territory. Although he's averaging just 7.8 yards per reception through two games, Rivera ranks third on the team in targets with 12, only behind James Jones and Denarius Moore. Rivera, who was on the field for 65 percent of the team's offensive snaps Sunday, will continue to serve as the top pass catcher at the tight end position for Oakland, but he's still well outside of the TE2 conversation in most fantasy formats.

Rivera caught three passes on five targets for 31 yards in Sunday's loss to the Jets.

The 24-year-old Rivera finished third on the team in targets, only behind Denarius Moore (8) and Rod Streater (7). However, all but one of his looks came on the Raiders' final drive of the game, with the team down two scores. The second-year tight end's pass catching ability makes him worth monitoring in deeper leagues, but it would be hard to justify owning him until he shows more of a rapport with quarterback Derek Carr.

Rivera caught two passes for 26 yards on two targets in Friday's preseason game against the Lions.

After dropping a pair of passes last week, Rivera turned in a batter performance in the second preseason game. He's the starter for now, but it's unclear how things will shape up once David Ausberry (knee) returns. Ausberry, who is listed atop the depth chart, may be in danger of missing the start of the regular season.

Starting in place of David Ausberry (knee), Rivera dropped both of his targets. With the length of Ausberry's absence uncertain, Rivera may end up as the Week 1 starter. There's some chance Rivera could start even if Ausberry recovers in time, as the Raiders don't have a clear-cut top dog at tight end.

With David Ausberry slated to miss time with a knee issue, Rivera is now working with the Raiders' first-team offense, sfgate.com reports.

The report indicates that Rivera, who recorded 38 catches for 407 yards and four touchdowns last season, has worked hard on his blocking, with offensive coordinator Greg Olson having noted that the second-year tight end has been one of the Raiders' most improved players in training camp. It's unclear how much much time Ausberry will miss, but for now, opportunity knocks for Rivera, with Brian Leonhardt and Nick Kasa also in the mix for added tight end reps while Ausberry is out.
