The Chiefs aren't counting on second-year ILB Nico Johnson for the starting job next to Derrick Johnson.

A 2013 fourth-round pick, Johnson was active for just two games as a rookie. He's behind Joe Mays for snaps in Kansas City's base defense and doesn't play in sub packages. Johnson will need a strong camp to beat out Mays and could be limited to a role on special teams.
