Bernard rushed 15 times for 80 yards and caught five passes on eight targets for 21 yards Sunday against the Seahawks.

Bernard vastly outplayed Jeremy Hill, who rushed eight times for 13 yards and caught one pass for 12 yards, and he appears the be the top option in the two-back set. Hill can still poach some goal-line touches here and there, but Bernard looks like the one who will get the initial reps before Hill gets his opportunities. Bernard has rushed at least 13 times in four straight games, though he has just one touchdown on the season. Up next is a Week 6 trip to face the Bills before a Week 7 bye.

Bernard carried the ball 13 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's game against the Chiefs. He was not targeted in the passing game for the first time this season.

The third-year back led the Bengals in backfield touches for the third straight week, but Jeremy Hill did pile up three rushing touchdowns on the day. Hill should regain his share of the carries sooner or later, somewhat limiting Bernard's role in that capacity, but there are still plenty of touches available to him as a change of pace back and a receiving threat out of the backfield. Week 5 brings with it a tough home matchup versus the formidable Seahawks defense.

Bernard totaled 49 rushing yards on 13 attempts and grabbed three of his four targets for 34 yards in Sunday's win over the Ravens.

A week after Jeremy Hill was benched for fumbling, Bernard once again led the backfield in touches and yards on Sunday. Some of this could be attributed to the Bengals finding themselves in quite a few passing situations late in the game, but Hill was unimpressive with just 21 yards on 12 carries. Both backs will continue to see plenty of action, but Bernard will seemingly garner a few extra touches for as long as Hill remains out of favor with the coaching staff. Cincinnati will welcome the Chiefs and their stingy run defense to town in Week 4.

Bernard rushed for 123 yards on 20 carries and added three receptions for 16 yards in Sunday's win over San Diego.

Bernard became head coach Marvin Lewis' best friend after fellow back Jeremy Hill fumbled his way into the dog house. Bernard narrowly trailed Hill in touches in Week 1, 19 to 14 and should get his opportunities regardless of Hill's status. The difference between a Hill the Bengals trust and one they don't comes by way of goal-line carries, carries Hill hogged last season. Whether or not Hill earns the coaches' trust in the weeks to come will have enormous implications for Bernard's value.

Bernard rushed for 63 yards on eight carries and added six receptions for 25 yards in Sunday's 33-13 win over Oakland.

Bernard picked up from where he left off last season, serving as the versatile, change-of-pace lightning to Jeremy Hill's thunder. Bernard didn't register a rushing touchdown after Week 7 last season, a product of Hill's emergence, and with Hill figuring to hog the goal-line carries, it may be hard for Bernard to find the end zone too often this season. Still, Bernard is a player who can be counted on to tally up all-purpose yards, receptions and, given his speed, an occasional score from anywhere on the field.

Bernard gained five yards on four carries in Friday's preseason opener against the Giants.

The Bengals limited their key players to six or seven snaps, but they did make sure to give Bernard a few touches in his brief time on the field. He worked with

Bernard took the snaps in obvious passing situations, while Jeremy Hill finished with 100 yards on 23 carries, adding two receptions for 10 yards on three targets. Hill's continued domination of the carries leaves Bernard with a modest weekly ceiling, but the Bengals clearly strive to have both running backs heavily involved. If A.J. Green (concussion) can't play in Sunday's wild-card game against the Colts, Bernard could get some extra targets.

Bernard caught 5-of-5 targets for 45 yards and a touchdown, adding eight carries for 36 yards, in Monday's 37-28 win over the Broncos.

Bernard's highlight came on a short drag route in the third quarter, when he turned on the jets and threw a nice stiff arm to convert a third-and-five for a 22-yard touchdown. He was still overshadowed by Jeremy Hill, who piled up 22 carries for 147 yards, on the strength of an impressive 85-yard touchdown. With A.J. Green severely limited by a bruised biceps, Jermaine Gresham (11) and Bernard (five) accounted for 16 targets on Andy Dalton's 26 pass attempts. Given Mohamed Sanu's complete disappearance since mid-season, Bernard could have a similarly crucial role in the passing game for Week 17 against the Steelers, if Green is unable to play. Hill figures to handle most of the carries, putting somewhat of a cap on Bernard's ceiling.

Bernard had just 28 snaps in the Bengals' win over the Browns last week, 19 fewer than teammate Jeremy Hill, ESPN.com reports.

Part of Bernard's low snap count can be attributed the big lead that the Bengals had, but also to how well Hill was running.

Bernard had 15 carries for 79 yards and three catches for 24 yards in Sunday's 30-0 victory over the Browns.

Bernard's 103 total yards completely flew under the radar thanks to Jeremy Hill's outstanding day. Even with Hill gobbling up 25 carries, there was still enough leftover work for Bernard to be successful. There are plenty of carries to spread around against a team like Cleveland (the Bengals had 45 rushing attempts Sunday), but that won't be the case the next time out, when the Bengals take on Denver next Monday night. The Broncos rank second against the run, and with Hill seemingly entrenched as Cincinnati's favored back, Bernard is a high-risk play for Week 16.

Bernard had six carries for 17 rushing yards and three catches on five targets for 19 receiving yards Sunday against the Steelers.

Bernard finished with two fewer carries than Jeremy Hill, though the latter rushed for 46 yards, while also adding 21 receiving yards on three catches. The good news is that the Bengals will face the Browns in Week 15, a team that is allowing the fifth-most rushing yards per game this season, but the bad news is that he'll continue to play behind Hill, which is the biggest detriment to his fantasy upside.

Bernard had 10 carries for a team-high 49 rushing yards and one catch on one target for four receiving yards Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Jeremy Hill started once again, though he racked up only 52 yards on 17 total touches (13 carries, four receptions). Neither back made much of a difference, and they appear to be in a timeshare, which limits their respective upsides. Up next is a Week 14 matchup against a Steelers defense that allowed 122 rushing yards to Mark Ingram on Sunday.

Playing in his first game since Week 8 against the Ravens, Bernard finished with one fewer carry than Jeremy Hill, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown, a two-yard run in the third quarter. With the way that Hill played while Bernard was sidelined, it wouldn't be surprising if the backfield turned a bit into a timeshare, which certainly will limit the upside of both backs. Up next is a Week 13 matchup against a Buccaneers defense allowing the 11th-most rushing yards per game this season.

Bernard (hip/clavicle), who is active for Sunday's game against the Texans, is listed as the starter, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

We're passing the news along, but we don't believe this information really means anything as far as Bernard's workload is concerned. He is still going to share time with Jeremy Hill, and may even see fewer touches than Hill as the Bengals ease him back into action.
