Lotulelei (foot) is inactive Sunday against the Texans.

Thu Sep 17 201515:02Lotulelei (foot) limited participant at Thursday's practice
Lotulelei (foot) was a limited participant at Thursday's practice, Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer reports.
For the second consecutive day, Lotulelei's practice reps were capped, but his presence was nonetheless encouraging, as it marked the first time he's fit in drills since sustaining a stress reaction in his right foot at the outset of training camp. Friday's injury report should relay whether or not he's trending toward factoring into the Panthers' rotation at defensive tackle in Week 2.

Lotulelei returned to practice in full pads Wednesday, Jonathan Jones of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Lotulelei (foot) will not play in Sunday's season opener against the Jaguars.
Lotulelei has been improving in his recovery from a stress fracture suffered during training camp, but will still be short of health for Sunday's first game of the season. While Kyle Love is expected to assume Lotulelei's usual starting defensive tackle position next to Kawann Short on Sunday, it's possible that Lotulelei could be ready to play as early as next weekend.

Lotulelei (foot) appears doubtful to be available for the Panthers' Week 1 game against the Jaguars, Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Lotulelei missed most of training camp with a stress fracture and is still trying to get back to full speed. It doesn't sound like he's suffered a setback in his recovery, but he may need another week to heal up before taking the field again.
Mon Aug 3 201519:46Star Lotulelei: (Foot) Out Three Weeks
Lotulelei will be held out the next three weeks of training camp due to a stress reaction in his right foot, the Charlotte Observer reports.
During Monday's practice, Lotulelei came down with a limp and was subsequently carted off the field. After an evaluation with the team doctor, the Panthers wouldn't reveal the severity of the injury, but his next checkup was joined by the caveat "in a few weeks." Considering he required surgery to repair a broken right foot in January, his recovery effort will be watched closely to ensure no setbacks take place.

Lotulelei was forced out of Monday's practice due to soreness in his right foot, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Lotulelei underwent surgery on his right foot in January and apparently is still experiencing some soreness as he gears up for the upcoming season. While the imposing third-year player was carted off early Monday, it appears Lotulelei is simply taking a precautionary approach to the beginning of camp. With that in mind, it wouldn't be surprising if Lotulelei misses occasional time to manage his return to the fold.

Lotulelei was carted off the field during Monday's practice due to an undisclosed injury, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Lotulelei's injury is quite concerning, as he is not only coming off a broken foot toward the end of last season, but is also a mainstay along the Panthers' stingy defensive front. With those considerations in mind, expect Lotulelei's status to be updated as further information is released.

Coach Ron Rivera has confirmed that Lotulelei (fractured foot) is out for Saturday's playoff game against the Seahawks, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
The report suggests that Lotulelei could return to action later in playoffs, should the Panthers advance, but at this stage, the team will need to turn to the likes of Colin Cole, Kawann Short and Dwan Edwards in order to try to contain Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch on Saturday.

Lotulelei reportedly has a fractured foot that will keep him out for the rest of the NFL playoffs, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Per the Charlotte Observer, Lotulelei's snaps at defensive tackle are likely to be split between Colin Cole, Kawann Short and Dwan Edwards. Lotulelei, who racked up seven tackles and two sacks in Week 17's win over the Falcons, recorded four tackles in this past Saturday's playoff victory over the Cardinals. His absence represents a hit to the Panthers' run defense, as the team aims to contain Seattle's Marshawn Lynch in this weekend's divisional round playoff contest.

Fri Dec 5 201414:42Lotulelei (ankle) probable for Sunday's game against New Orleans
Lotulelei (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against New Orleans.
Lotulelei isn't likely to be an IDP producer for most formats, but his return is reassuring for a struggling Carolina run defense hoping to play with some dignity against Mark Ingram.
Sat Nov 29 201412:26Lotulelei (ankle) ruled out for Sunday's game against Vikings
Lotulelei (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
The rest afforded to Lotulelei during the bye week wasn't sufficient to cure the ankle issue, and thus he'll be forced to miss a second straight game. Micanor Regis was promoted from the practice squad to provide depth along the defensive line.
Tue Nov 11 201414:12Lotulelei (ankle) will not play in Sunday's game against Falcons
Lotulelei (ankle) will not play in Sunday's game against the Falcons, Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer reports.
The Panthers do not believe Lotulelei is dealing with a serious injury, but with the team on bye in Week 12, they will hold him out this week to give him sufficient time to recover. Head coach Ron Rivera expects Lotulelei to return to action in Week 13.

X-rays on Lotulelei's injured leg came back negative after Monday's game, ESPN's NFL Nation reports.
While the initial news is positive for the Panthers, Lotulelei's injury did appear somewhat serious. His absence would leave a major hole in the team's already questionable run defense.
Mon Nov 10 201423:40Star Lotulelei: Injures Leg
Lotulelei left Monday's game against the Eagles with a leg injury, and he was ruled out for the remainder of the contest shortly thereafter.
Though valuable to the Panthers, Lotulelei has just 15 tackles (eight solo) and no sacks this season. He appeared to injure his ankle during the third quarter of Monday's game, and he was down on the field for a couple of minutes. If Lotulelei misses time beyond Monday, Carolina will likely need Colin Cole and Dwan Edwards to take on added snaps at defensive tackle.
Wed Jun 19 201310:50Star Lotulelei already improving pass rushing
Coach Ron Rivera said first-round DT Star Lotulelei has already "come a long way" with his pass rushing.
One of the reasons Lotulelei fell to 14th overall in the draft was because he earned a strict run defender label. The Panthers are teaching him to use his hands to shed blockers and are happy with the progress so far. They already know that Lotulelei is going to be an asset when asked to plug up running lanes.
