Fri Oct 2 201510:41Sims (concussion) ruled out for Sunday's contest in London
Sims (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest in London, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Sims hasn't played since suffering a concussion during Week 1's contest against the Redskins and considering he didn't make the flight to London, it's clear he won't play against the Jets either. Jake Stoneburner (three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown in two games) will once again fill-in behind Jordan Cameron.

Sims (concussion) did not practice Thursday.
Sims missed practice Wednesday as well, so he's looking iffy for Sunday's game against the Jets after being inactive in Week 3.
Wed Sep 30 201515:48Sims (concussion) did not practice Wednesday
Sims (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Sims hasn't been able to play since suffering a concussion early during the regular season opener against the Redskins and his chances at suiting up for this week's contest against the Jets certainly didn't start off on the right foot with Wednesday's practice designation. His practice status will be worth monitoring as the days progress.

Sims (concussion) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Jordan Cameron is also questionable for Sunday's game, meaning Jake Stoneburner could get the start if Cameron and Sims are unavailable to play. Stoneburner did catch both of his targets against the Jaguars last week, recording 18 yards and a touchdown.
Fri Sep 25 201514:54Sims (concussion) did not practice Friday
Sims (concussion) did not practice Friday.
Sims had been practicing in a limited basis prior to Friday, but it appears as if the Dolphins believe their back-up tight end could miss Sunday's tilt against the Bills. With Jordan Cameron (groin) also suffering through an injury of his own, Jake Stoneburner could play vital snaps at tight end for the Dolphins.

Sims (concussion) was a limited participant during the media's portion of Thursday's practice, Omar Kelly of The Sun Sentinel reports.
With starting tight end Jordan Cameron hindered by a groin injury that could jeopardize his status for Sunday, Sims or former practice-squad member Jake Stoneburner could be in line for a start against the Bills if Cameron is unable to go.
Wed Sep 23 201516:34Sims (concussion) practiced in limited fashion Wednesday
Sims (concussion) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday.
Sims' Week 3 status takes on added importance for the Dolphins, thanks to the fact that fellow TE Jordan Cameron is dealing with a groin injury that clouds his availability for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Fri Sep 18 201513:34Sims (concussion) ruled out for Sunday's game against Jaguars
Sims (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Considering Sims did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, his status for Sunday comes as no surprise. Jake Stoneburner could see additional snaps with Sims watching on the sidelines, however starting tight end Jordan Cameron, who recorded four catches for 73 yards in Week 1, should be an even more prominent figure for QB Ryan Tannehill with Sims out.

Sims (concussion) did not practice during the portion open to the media Thursday, ESPN.com reports.
Sims missed Wednesday's practice as well, making his status heading into Sunday murky at best. However, with Jordan Cameron firmly set as the No. 1 TE, Sims' fantasy value remains limited.
Wed Sep 16 201517:50Sims (concussion) did not practice Wednesday
Sims (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, ESPN.com reports.
Sims' Week 2 status is thus unclear, though as the Dolphins' No. 2 TE behind Jordan Cameron, his fantasy utility is capped, so long as Cameron can stay healthy.

Sims suffered a concussion early in Sunday's win over Washington, the Miami Herald reports.
While coach Joe Philbin indicated that it's too early to know how long Sims will be sidelined, that the Dolphins promoted tight end Jake Stoneburner from their practice squad Monday suggests that Sims is viewed as iffy for Week 2.

Sims caught 2-of-2 targets for 15 yards in Thursday's preseason opener against the Bears.
There isn't much drama at the tight end position in Miami, as Jordan Cameron is locked in to the starting job and Sims is seemingly assured of the No. 2 spot. The Dolphins are too deep at wide receiver for their backup tight end to emerge as a viable fantasy option, but with Cameron's worrisome injury history, it's not too hard to imagine Sims carving out some utility by the end of the year.

Sims had 24 receptions for 284 yards and two touchdowns during the 2014 season.
There were times this season where Sims looked like he could be an adequate tight end but quarterback Ryan Tannehill prefers to throw the ball short to his wide receivers rather than to his tight ends and Charles Clay is still the number one TE in Miami.

Sims caught 4-of-4 targets for 58 yards in Monday's 16-13 win over the Jets.
Sims made the most of his limited opportunities, catching passes of 20, 18 and 17 yards. His numbers haven't been eye-popping in Charles Clay's (hamstring/knee) absence, but it's not as if Clay had been lighting the world on fire himself. Given that Clay was listed as doubtful for Monday's game, it's quite possible Sims will get another start in Week 14 against the Ravens.

Sims had four catches on five targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 39-36 loss at Denver.
Sims got the start at TE due to multiple injuries to Charles Clay (hamstring/knee). While Sims didn't bust out, he could be a sneaky option next week against the Jets, who have had trouble stopping opposing TEs. This of course is assuming Clay is unavailable again.
