Robinson had five carries for 30 yards and two catches for two yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
Robinson had found the end zone each of the last two weeks, but he was held in check against a tough Philadelphia run defense. It also didn't help his cause that the Saints were dominated in the second half, forcing Drew Brees and company to take to the air for the majority of the half to catch up. Robinson should continue to have some standalone value as part of the Saints' backfield committee, but his primary worth to fantasy owners is as a potential source for short touchdowns and as a handcuff to Mark Ingram. Atlanta is up next for Robinson on Thursday.

Robinson carried the ball six times for 16 yards, including a one-yard touchdown plunge, and caught two passes on four targets for five yards in Sunday's win against the Cowboys.
After an apparent Mark Ingram touchdown run was (questionably) overturned, Robinson took the next carry into the end zone for the score, much to the chagrin of Ingram owners. Robinson has now scored in back-to-back weeks, as it's clear the Saints are comfortable using him around the goal line, and he continues to see some limited action in both the running game and the ground game, even following the return of C.J. Spiller. Though his upside will continued to be capped by the Saints' committee approach, Robinson still has some weekly value and remains the clear handcuff to Ingram. Week 5, however, brings a difficult matchup against the Eagles.

Robinson gained 12 yards on seven carries and caught two passes on two targets for eight yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. He also scored on a two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Both Robinson and Mark Ingram found paydirt for the Saints, but Ingram easily out-touched and out-produced Robinson in Week 3, gaining 50 yards on 14 carries and 49 yards on five receptions. Robinson may lose touches in the coming weeks as offseason addition C.J. Spiller continues to get acclimated to the offense, but Robinson should continue to have some standalone value and, more importantly, remains the clear handcuff for Ingram owners.

Robinson gained 48 yards on five carries and caught one pass on one target for nine yards in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.
Robinson impressed with his limited workload, but Mark Ingram once again dominated the touches out of the Saints' backfield (16 carries for 53 yards). Further, with the return of C.J. Spiller, Robinson's role in the passing game was reduced, and he may struggle to find consistent playing time on a week-by-week basis. Still, he's the clear handcuff to Ingram, who has a history of injuries, and Robinson may even have some standalone value on certain weeks, though they will likely be difficult to predict.

Robinson carried the ball eight times for 19 yards and caught five of six targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 31-19 loss at Arizona.
Robinson couldn't get anything going on the ground, but did a nice job as a pass catcher. Mark Ingram was also featured as a receiver, catching eight of nine targets for 98 yards. Robinson will continue to be involved in the team's backfield until C.J. Spiller (knee) returns. Once Spiller is healthy, it remains to be seen how the three top running backs will be used, but Robinson's value will presumably take the biggest hit.

Robinson (undisclosed) wasn't listed on the Saints' injury report Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Robinson missed the last half of the preseason slate due to an undisclosed injury, but his full return Wednesday backs up the minor nature of the concern. Meanwhile, C.J. Spiller remains sidelined due to his recovery from arthroscopic knee surgery, which places Robinson into the primary backup running-back role behind Mark Ingram for the opener, at the very least.
Tue Sep 8 201515:58Robinson (undisclosed) said he returned to practice Monday
Robinson (undisclosed) said he returned to practice Monday, ESPN's Mike Triplett reports.
Monday's practice was closed to the media, but Robinson did his owners a favor by tweeting that he participated and wore pads. He thus seems likely to suit up for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Cardinals, whereas C.J. Spiller (knee) remains up in the air. A Spiller absence could leave Robinson with a few more snaps, but the impact probably wouldn't be too significant. Robinson is the top backup to Mark Ingram for early downs, while Spiller figures to do most of his damage in the passing game.

Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune suggests that Robinson (undisclosed issue) and C.J. Spiller may not be ready to play in the Saints' regular season opener.
The Saints carry five running backs on their 53-man roster for the time being, with the report suggesting that Tim Hightower could see added opportunities behind Mark Ingram in Week 1, if Robinson and Spiller are unable to give it a go.

Robinson gained 15 yards on four carries and 28 yards on two receptions on two targets in Saturday's preseason game against the Patriots.
Both Robinson and Mark Ingram were impressive in the first half against New England, with each seeing action on the ground and in the passing game. Robinson looked particularly smooth on a first quarter screen pass that went for 17 yards, in which he flashed some nice abilities setting up blockers and running after the catch. good hands and nice. Ingram is still expected to see the majority of the carries this season, but with C.J. Spiller expected to miss the entire preseason, Robinson is showing that he's more than capable of serving as the third down back if Spiller were to miss any time in the regular season.

Robinson caught 3-of-3 targets for 37 yards and a touchdown, adding two carries for 35 yards, in Thursday's preseason opener against the Ravens.
With C.J. Spiller (undisclosed) unavailable, Mark Ingram handled most of the first quarter and Robinson took most of the second. While he was the Saints' most impressive offensive player Thursday night, Robinson doesn't have much to play for this preseason, as he's seemingly a lock to make the roster but isn't much of a threat to Ingram or Spiller.

Robinson is listed as the second-string running back in the Saints' first unofficial depth chart, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Robinson is listed ahead of offseason acquisition C.J. Spiller, however, this is likely a misnomer, as head coach Sean Payton typically relegates his "change-of-pace" running back to third string on his preseason depth charts. Spiller is still expected to handle the majority of the snaps on passing downs, and even if he is not healthy, that role will likely fall to someone other than the bruising Robinson. Robinson, meanwhile, remains an excellent handcuff to injury-prone Mark Ingram, and should hold some value regardless of Ingram's health, as Payton historically prefers to deploy a committee approach at running back.

Robinson said he isn't worried about the Saints' investments in fellow running backs Mark Ingram and C.J. Spiller, ESPN.com reports.
The departure of Pierre Thomas briefly opened up a potential path to more touches, but the Saints then signed C.J. Spiller to a four-year contract, in addition to bringing back Mark Ingram. Spiller figures to be heavily involved as a receiver and passing-down back, with Ingram likely getting most of the carries and goal-line work. Robinson may be third on the depth chart, but he'll have a significant role if Ingram can't stay healthy. An injury to Spiller probably wouldn't provide the same boost, as Robinson's skill set is much more similar to Ingram's.

With Mark Ingram re-signing with New Orleans, Robinson will likely serve as the Saints' backup running back in 2015.
The Saints released Pierre Thomas earlier this offseason, helping to clear cap space to bring back Ingram. While it's anticipated that Ingram will see the majority of the backfield workload next year, the Saints have long deployed a committee approach at running back. Further, Ingram has proven to be somewhat brittle, missing 14 total games over the last four years, so Robinson will likely still be worthy of a draft pick in most fantasy leagues next year.
Fri Mar 6 201512:54Robinson currently tops depth chart in New Orleans
With Mark Ingram an unrestricted free agent and the Saints releasing Pierre Thomas earlier this week, Robinson currently tops the depth chart in New Orleans. Robinson's 2014 season was limited to only ten games, as he battled a forearm injury, but he averaged 4.8 yards per carry.
There's still a chance Mark Ingram will re-sign with the Saints - though his price tag may ultimately be too high for the cap-strapped Saints - or the team will pursue another running back via free agency or the draft. As it stands now, however, Robinson is the best bet to see the majority of the touches out of the Saints' backfield in 2015.

Robinson gained 15 yards on seven carries, including a one-yard touchdown plunge in the second quarter, and added another 22 yards on two receptions in Sunday's season-ending win in Tampa Bay.
Robinson battled a forearm injury that limited his season to only ten games, in which he gained 362 yards on 76 carries (4.8 YPC) and scored three touchdowns. With Mark Ingram an unrestricted free agent this offseason, Robinson could be in for a much bigger role with New Orleans in 2015 if Ingram doesn't return, as the undrafted free agent out of West Texas A&M has impressed in his first two years in the league.

Robinson gained seven yards on two carries and five yards on one reception in Sunday's loss to the Falcons, which eliminated the Saints from playoff contention.
Even with Pierre Thomas leaving the game early with an injury, Robinson was an afterthought on Sunday, particularly with the Saints deploying a pass-heavy scheme as they attempted to claw back from a second-half deficit. While Robinson may not make much noise to finish the year, even in a favorable matchup against Tampa Bay, he's a player worth keeping an eye on in dynasty and keeper leagues, as Mark Ingram will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Saints are high on the second-year back's abilities, and Robinson would appear next in line for carries in New Orleans if Ingram were to depart.

Robinson gained ten yards on three carries and another ten yards on two catches in Monday's win against the Bears.
Robinson returned to the box score for the first time since Week 7, following a lengthy injury absence. While he's unlikely to make much of an impact this year, as Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas remain the front-runners for touches out of the backfield, Robinson is an interesting dynasty and keeper option, with both Ingram and Thomas very possibly departing New Orleans this offseason. If you're desperate in Week 16, however, Robinson at least has a favorable matchup at home against a leaky Falcons' defense.
Sun Dec 7 201412:02Robinson (forearm) active for Sunday's contest against Panthers
Robinson (forearm) is active for Sunday's contest against the Panthers, the Saints' official site reports.
After a six-game absence, Robinson's ultimate workload is undetermined due to the presence of Mark Ingram (ankle/toe) and Pierre Thomas. Potential owners are advised to look elsewhere for RB output.
Fri Dec 5 201415:59Robinson (forearm) probable for Sunday's game against Carolina
Robinson (forearm) is probable for Sunday's game against Carolina.
Robinson is finally able to return after missing six games, but it's hard to tell what kind of role might be in store for him given the strong showings by Mark Ingram as the team's primary runner. Like all New Orleans runners, Robinson poses no threat to Pierre Thomas' passing down snaps.
