Quessenberry said his cancer (non-Hodgkins lymphoma) is in remission, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Quessenberry, who made an appearance with teammates at Texas Children's Hospital last week, said he's off radiation treatments but is still undergoing chemotherapy. He's started working out again, doing some running and lifting. Normally checking in at 300 pounds, Quessenerry said he's currently at 275.

The Texans are likely to use less zone blocking under new coach Bill O'Brien.

Texans G/T David Quessenberry broke his foot in Wednesday's practice and is expected to miss the entire season.
The No. 176 overall pick in April's draft spent most of his time at left guard in the preseason. Pro Football Focus gave him a positive grade as a run blocker on 189 offensive snaps. He's a good fit for Houston's zone-blocking scheme as an athletic lineman. Quessenberry will be back to compete next year.
