Wright caught one pass off of two targets for 26 yards in Monday's loss to Seattle. He may feature more heavily in the offense in Week 5 as Eric Ebron is unlikely to play against Arizona, ESPN reports.

Wright split the seam during Detroit's ultimately unsuccessful closing drive for his first catch as a Lion and there may be more where that came from. While Ebron does not have any structural damage in his knee, he may be on the shelf for a week or two. Expect for Wright to see Ebron's share of targets in the meantime as Brandon Pettigrew, who has been hampered by a hamstring injury, is known more for his blocking than his hands.

Brandon Pettigrew will be out for Sunday's game, leaving Wright as the team's only tight end aside from Eric Ebron, Josh Katzenstein of The Detroit News reports.

After being inactive in Week 1, Wright figures to make his debut for Detroit on Sunday. A very different player than Pettigrew, who is more of a blocker, it will be interesting to see whether Wright will get some opportunities flexed out while Ebron plays a more traditional Y role.

Wright is inactive for the Lions' Week 1 game against the Chargers, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

The Lions, who acquired Wright from the Buccaneers shortly before roster cutdowns, will go with only two tight ends for the season opener. With starter Eric Ebron profiling as a better receiving option and backup Brandon Pettigrew representing a superior run blocker, Wright may need an injury to either player to occur before he sees the field this season.

Wright was traded from the Buccaneers to the Lions on Monday.

In a league where trading isn't very common, Wright seems to move around more than most. This second time in as many seasons he's been shipped out by the Buccaneers, and this year to the Lions. He serves more as a receiver than a blocking tight end, and with no real slot option in Detroit behind Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, it's possible Wright will fill that void for his new team.

Wright was claimed off waivers by the Buccaneers on Friday.

Wright rejoins the Buccaneers just under a year after Tampa Bay traded him to New England, who released the tight end on Thursday. In his lone season with the Patriots, Wright managed 26 catches for 259 yards and six touchdowns. That production mostly dipped from his 2013 rookie totals of 54 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns with the Bucs, where he'll hope to earn a significant role once again, despite the presence of fellow tight ends Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Brandon Myers this time around.

Wright was released by the Patriots on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports.

Wright was in line to serve as one of the backups to Rob Gronkowski in his second year with the team, but the Patriots will instead cut bait with the tight end and his $585K salary. The move is a bit surprising, as Wright had just began to establish himself as a redzone threat, catching six of his 26 receptions last season for scores.

Wright was on the field for 32-of-61 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Jets, ESPN.com reports.

Wright caught one pass for 12 yards in the game, and while it's possible that he could see some added work Sunday against the Bills if the Patriots (who have clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC) elect to reduce Rob Gronkowski's snaps in the contest, Wright still remains a speculative Week 17 fantasy play.

Wright was on the field for 17-of-64 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Dolphins, ESPN.com reports.

For the second straight game, Wright was held without a catch and though he's scored six TDs in 14 games to date overall, the tight end hasn't found the end zone since Week 12, making him a highly speculative fantasy play in Week 16.

Wright was on the field for 33-of-76 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Chargers, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Per the report, Wright's 33 snaps marked his second-highest total of the season, but he was held without a catch in the contest. With just one catch in his last two games, Wright remains a hit-or-miss fantasy option, whose fantasy utility rides on him finding the end zone, which he last did in Week 12.

Wright was on the field for 30-of-57 snaps on offense in Sunday's loss to the Packers, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

In the process, Wright -- who caught five passes for 36 yards and two touchdowns in Week 12 -- recorded just one catch for 12 yards, providing another reminder that he remains a hit-or-miss fantasy option, whose value hinges on him finding the end zone.

Wright saw a season-high 60 snaps in Sunday's 34-9 win over the Lions, ESPN.com reports. In doing so, Wright caught five passes on six targets for 36 yards and two touchdowns.

Wright's target and yardage totals have been hit-or-miss this season, but he now has six touchdowns over his last seven games, which puts him on the fantasy radar in TD-friendly formats while working in tandem with fellow TE Rob Gronkowski.

Wright was on the field for 10-of-73 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Colts.

In the process, Wright -- who was targeted twice in the game -- caught a two-yard TD pass. Decidedly behind Rob Gronkowski in the Patriots' fantasy TE pecking order, Wright has been a hit-or-miss option of late, with TDs in four of his last six games and zero catches in his other two outings.

Wright was on the field for 12-of-86 snaps on offense in Sunday's 43-21 win over the Broncos, ESPN.com reports.

He was not targeted in the contest, and as long as fellow TE Rob Gronkowski is healthy, Wright will remain a hit-or-miss fantasy option in the contests that follow the Patriots' Week 10 by.

Wright caught seven passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 51-23 win over the Bears.

Given that he works behind fellow TE Rob Gronkowski, Wright is going to be a hit-or-miss fantasy option in the coming weeks, but he has at least reached the end zone in three of his last four outings.

Wright was not targeted in Thursday's 27-25 loss to the Jets.

While he wasn't quite invisible, Wright failed to draw the look on even one of Tom Brady's 36 pass attempts. The tight end's Week 5 receiving line (5-85-1) is looking rather fluky, as he now has just one target and one reception over the last two games, though he did turn that sole chance into a one-yard touchdown.

Wright was on the field for 16-of-74 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Bills, ESPN.com reports.

Wright's only target Sunday resulted in a one-yard TD, which salvaged things for those who rolled the dice on the tight end after his five-catch, 85-yard effort in Week 5. Wright will be a hit-or-miss option going forward, with his fantasy utility hinging on how frequently the Patriots utilize him in two-TE packages.

Wright caught 5-of-5 targets for 85 yards and a touchdowns in Sunday's 43-17 win over the Bengals.

The Patriots made greater use of two-TE formations than in previous weeks, decreasing their reliance on three-wide sets. Wright had just four catches for 35 yards through four games, but he looked good Sunday night, making his case for a bigger role. That said, he didn't play all that many snaps, and while the performance was encouraging, his Week 6 role against the Bills will still be hard to predict.

Wright was on the field for 16-of-50 snaps on offense in Monday's 41-14 loss to the Chiefs, ESPN.com reports.

Though Wright saw something of a bump in playing time Monday after playing just five snaps in Week 3, he was not targeted in the contest. While Wright's involvement in the Patriots' passing game could increase as the season rolls along, until we see such a development, he's not a fantasy consideration.

Wright caught one pass for 20 yards in the game, but at this stage he's not involved enough in the Patriots' passing offense to merit fantasy attention.

Wright was on the field for 8-of-67 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Vikings, ESPN.com reports.

Wright, not known for his blocking, did not record a catch in the game, while seeing a limited role in Week 2, with the game plan/flow of the contest leading to a run-heavy approach. We suspect that there will be weeks where Wright sees his share of looks in the passing game, but for now he is a hit-or-miss fantasy proposition.
