Tue Jun 16 201510:12Da'Rick Rogers: Released By Chiefs
Rogers was released by the Chiefs on Tuesday, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.
The former five-star recruit had a shaky college career that was largely notable for off-field issues, and he then went undrafted in 2013. Rogers has since spent time with the Bills, Colts and Chiefs, but he didn't get on the field last season. He'll turn 24 on Thursday, and he shouldn't have much trouble finding another opportunity to compete for a roster spot.
Thu Jan 8 201510:43The Chiefs have signed Rogers
The Chiefs have signed Rogers, ESPN.com reports.
Off-field issues have been a concern with Rogers, but the 6-3, 215-pound wideout has the size and speed to make a run at a roster spot with the Chiefs in training camp, at a position where the team desperately needs to upgrade.
Mon Sep 29 201416:02Rogers released by Colts on Monday
Rogers was released by the Colts on Monday, NFL.com reports.
Rogers' release comes after he was reportedly arrested for DUI on Sunday night. Character concerns caused the talented-but-troubled wideout to go undrafted last year, which came after he was dismissed from Tennessee's football program in college. In a corresponding roster move, the Colts signed safety Dewey McDonald to their active roster on Monday.

Rogers has made Indy's 53-man roster as the Colts elected to keep six wide receivers, ESPN reports.
Rogers is likely sixth on the depth chart. He didn't have a great training camp and didn't help himself by adding to his maturity issues by receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for kicking the ball into the stands after scoring a touchdown in the final preseason game. Still, Rogers has the size and talent to succeed in the NFL as he showed potential while recording 14 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns in just five games.

Rogers had two receptions for 19 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown, in Thursday's loss to the Bengals. However, he received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for kicking the ball into the stands after scoring his touchdown.
It's not clear if Rogers will make the team as the Colts may not elect to keep six wide receivers. Griff Whalen was a healthy scratch Thursday, which likely means he made the final roster. Rogers' penalty won't help his case since he's had off-field and maturity issues through his career.

Rogers had one reception for a 14-yard touchdown in Saturday's preseason loss to the Giants.
Rogers remains in the mix for the fourth wide receiver role with Donte Moncrief and Griff Whalen. He's looked good in two preseason games despite some reports he's had a mediocre training camp, so the third receiver battle may not play out until late in training camp.

Rogers had one reception for 45 yards and was on the field for 33 snaps in Thursday's preseason loss to the Jets.
Rogers is battling for the fourth wide receiver role. Rookie Donte Moncrief was listed as the fourth receiver on the team's initial depth chart, but the position battle is in flux. Whoever wins the role could easily get significant playing time with Reggie Wayne returning from a torn ACL and Hakeem Nicks having had injury issues in his career.
Thu Jul 31 201409:42Da'Rick Rogers off to slow start at camp
Da'Rick Rogers is off to a slow start at training camp.
Per beat man Mike Wells, Griff Whalen has "definitely" outplayed Rogers so far. It's another disappointing turn of events for a very talented prospect fighting for the No. 4 receiver job. Still, he's just 23 years old and Reggie Wayne/Hakeem Nicks are on one-year deals. We're still holding Rogers in deep Dynasty formats where we can.

Sun Apr 6 201410:23Colts remain high on Da'Rick Rogers
ESPN Colts reporter Mike Wells says the team remains high on Da'Rick Rogers.
After Hakeem Nicks' signing, Rogers lost a bit of his luster. But keep in mind Nicks only signed a one-year deal, and Reggie Wayne is nearing the end of the line. While Rogers may not make the second-year leap fantasy owners were hoping for, he's only 23 years old (in June) and his arrow continues to point up. Rogers is the favorite for No. 4 receiver duties, followed by LaVon Brazill and Griff Whalen.

Sun Mar 16 201415:17Da'Rick Rogers now 'blocked' in Indy
Colts second-year WR Da'Rick Rogers lost much of his 2014 breakout appeal when the team signed Hakeem Nicks.
Rogers remains a high-ceiling Dynasty hold, but his path to 2014 playing time is now blocked by T.Y. Hilton, Nicks, and Reggie Wayne, with LaVon Brazill and Griff Whalen also pushing for snaps. Rogers, 23 in June, finished his rookie year with 14 catches for 192 yards (13.7 YPR) and two touchdowns.

Fri Jan 24 201417:16Da'Rick Rogers says woes are 'in the past'
Da'Rick Rogers insists the off-field issues that caused him to fall out of the 2013 draft entirely are "in the past."
"That stuff is in the past," he insisted. "It's all about football for me." Rogers' consistency remained an issue into the playoffs, but he's a candidate for a sophomore leap. "I believe I showed the Colts that they can trust me, that I can come to work and be professional every day," added the 22-year-old. Rogers will be a late-round 2014 re-draft flier with some upside.

Sun Jan 12 201400:29Da'Rick Rogers held without a catch vs. Pats
Da'Rick Rogers was held without a catch on four targets in Indianapolis' Divisional Round loss to the Patriots.
Depending on how tough of a grader you are, Rogers committed at least two drops, and possibly three. It was not a good way to head into the offseason for a player who will be firmly on the bubble in next summer's camp. 6-foot-3, 206 pounds with 4.52 wheels, Rogers has ideal size/speed for an NFL receiver, but is a knucklehead off the field and raw on it. There's a chance he eventually puts it all together, but Dynasty-league owners shouldn't be holding their breath.

Sat Jan 4 201420:53Da'Rick Rogers catches 46 yard pass in win
Da'Rick Rogers caught one pass for 46 yards in Indy's Wild Card win over the Chiefs.
Rogers' catch was an impressive grab on a third-quarter jump ball. He drew only two targets, however, and was running as the Colts' No. 4 wideout. He won't be much of a daily-league option for the Divisional Round.

Sun Dec 29 201317:31Da'Rick Rogers closes out rookie NFL season
Da'Rick Rogers caught two passes for 20 yards in the Colts' Week 17 win over the Jaguars.
Not seeing extensive playing time until late in his undrafted rookie year, Rogers wound up with a 14-192-3 stat line as a receiver, blowing up on the fantasy scene with a six-catch, 107-yard, two-score effort in Week 14 at Cincinnati. With a skill set similar to Brandon Marshall's, Rogers will be a player to follow closely on the national stage in January's playoffs.

Sun Dec 22 201318:28Da'Rick Rogers catches four passes in win
Da'Rick Rogers caught four passes for 42 yards in Week 16 at Kansas City.
Rogers ran in two- and three-wide sets along with T.Y. Hilton and Griff Whalen. He saw six targets on the day. Rogers couldn't get loose deep, and neither could any of the other Indianapolis receivers in the win. He remains locked in as the No. 2 receiver for the Colts on the outside. Jacksonville travels to Indianapolis for the regular season finale next Sunday.

Mon Dec 16 201315:16Da'Rick Rogers earns starting job
Da'Rick Rogers started and played 60-of-74 snaps in the Colts' Week 15 win over the Texans.
Unfortunately, Rogers had a drop and saw only six targets on a day where Andrew Luck needed only 180 passing yards to beat a Texans team that beat itself. Either way, Rogers has clearly bypassed Darrius Heyward-Bey as a starter in two-receiver sets opposite T.Y. Hilton. Rogers managed 23 yards on two catches against Houston, but maintains Hail Mary WR3 value in fantasy title week. The Colts head to Kansas City for Week 16.

Sun Dec 15 201312:39Da'Rick Rogers expected to have big role
Da'Rick Rogers is expected to have an even bigger role Sunday with LaVon Brazill (foot) inactive.
Rogers already played on 41-of-60 snaps last week and went off for a 6/107/2 line. Now he's the clear-cut No. 2 wideout behind T.Y. Hilton and gets a plus matchup in the dome against the Texans. Rogers is a risk because he's so unproven, but his talent plus this opportunity gives him a ton of upside as a WR3 gamble.

Mon Dec 9 201311:29Da'Rick Rogers played 68% of snaps Sunday
Da'Rick Rogers played on 41-of-60 (68.3 percent) snaps in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.
At long last, the Colts identified their talent and utilized it. Darrius Heyward-Bey was demoted to 23 snaps while T.Y. Hilton led the way with 45 and LaVon Brazill chipped in with 42. Rogers is the man to watch here as the unique talent that went undrafted in April solely due to off-field concerns. His on-field ability was never in doubt and he proved it by busting out for a 6/107/2 line against Cincy. Rogers comes with risk because he's so unproven, but this usage confirms he'll at least be a WR4 with upside in a nice matchup in the dome against the Texans Week 15.
