Momah did not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers until the second half, CSN Philadelphia's Geoff Mosher reports.
Momah got a start earlier in the preseason, but he's likely on the roster bubble, and would probably be fifth or sixth on the depth chart, if he made the team.
Sat Aug 9 201401:48Momah started Friday's preseason opener against Bears
Momah started Friday's preseason opener against the Bears, CSN Philadelphia's Geoff Mosher reports.
Momah, listed at 6-7, 239 pounds, got the starting nod in place of Riley Cooper (foot), who is expected to return before the regular season. Momah caught two passes for 15 yards on three targets, working exclusively with the starting offense. While he has apparently been drawing first-team reps in practice recently, Momah is likely still be on the roster bubble. He had an underwhelming career at Boston College from 2007 to 2011, and failed to make the Eagles' roster out of training camp last season. If you're looking for a Philadelphia receiver besides Cooper or Jeremy Maclin, the best bet is still second-round rookie Jordan Matthews, who struggled mightily in Friday's preseason game.
