Osweiler completed 10-of-13 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's preseason game against the 49ers.
Osweiler followed Peyton Manning's dominant performance in a Broncos' rout that eventually finished 34-0. It was a solid performance, although Osweiler isn't likely to see much of the field during the regular season if Peyton Manning stays healthy.

According to the Denver Post, Broncos No. 2 quarterback Brock Osweiler "looks ready" to lead Denver's offense in the event of a Peyton Manning injury.
The Post reported in May that the Broncos "really like" their 2012 second-round pick, who was solid during OTAs. Only 23 years old, Osweiler is an interesting Dynasty prospect who could flirt with QB1 value in re-draft leagues if Peyton missed time. The Broncos have great weapons and play with a fast pace.

Tue Jul 30 201310:58Brock Osweiler showing big-time improvement
The Denver Post says QB Brock Osweiler has been the Broncos' most improved player between last year's training camp and this one.
Things are slowing down for the strong-armed, 6'7/242 Osweiler in his second NFL season. It doesn't look like he'll have any trouble beating out Zac Dysert for the backup job this season and still projects as the franchise's quarterback of the future. Peyton Manning is entering his age-37 season.

Sun Apr 21 201319:16Broncos high on Brock Osweiler
Broncos 2012 second-round pick Brock Osweiler has reportedly showed a "power arm" in practices and VP of Football Operations John Elway likes Osweiler's "mental makeup and swagger."
Osweiler is "clearly" Denver's No. 2 QB and heir apparent to Peyton Manning, per the Denver Post. The Post anticipates the Broncos using a third-day draft pick on a developmental passer like Miami of Ohio's Zac Dysert in order to get three quarterbacks in the meeting room with Manning. Osweiler is an intriguing long-term prospect in Dynasty fantasy leagues. Peyton turned 37 in March.

Tue Jan 15 201310:46Broncos are happy with Osweiler as backup
Both coach John Fox and executive John Elway said they consider Brock Osweiler the quarterback of the future.
Osweiler was limited to strict clipboard duty in his rookie season as Peyton Manning played in all 16 games. But the Broncos' brass liked what they saw out of their second-round pick in practice. "Brock made the progress that we thought he would," Elway said. Manning will turn 37 years old in March.

Sun Aug 19 201208:43Osweiler clearly outplayed by R. Wilson
Playing the entire second half, Broncos rookie Brock Osweiler completed just 5-of-11 passes for 38 yards against the Seahawks in the second preseason game.
Denver was outgained 302 yards to 37 after halftime, as Osweiler was severely outplayed by fellow rookie Russell Wilson, who led three touchdown drives over 68 yards apiece. In a preview of what would likely occur should Peyton Manning miss time, the Broncos offense was thoroughly inept with Osweiler under center. "I'm concerned with all of our depth at this point," conceded coach John Fox.

Rookie Brock Osweiler is the No. 3 quarterback on Denver's initial depth chart, with Caleb Hanie listed as Peyton Manning's primary backup.
It's just a veteran's courtesy for Hanie, as beat writer Jeff Legwold recently reported Osweiler has been "solidly" the No. 2 thus far in team drills. Barring a disastrous preseason, Osweiler will open the year as Manning's top handcuff.

The Denver Post anticipates second-round pick Brock Osweiler breaking camp as the Broncos' No. 2 quarterback barring preseason implosion.
Per beat writer Jeff Legwold, Osweiler has been "solidly" the No. 2 so far in team drills, ahead of Caleb Hanie and Adam Weber. The Broncos have reportedly been pleased by offseason tweaks to Osweiler's throwing motion, which was largely sidearm at Arizona State. He's someone to track in Dynasty leagues.

Tue Jul 31 201212:55Osweiler impressing early in Broncos camp
According to the Denver Post, second-round pick Brock Osweiler has shown "footwork that is rare for a quarterback so tall."
That's in addition to Osweiler's noted arm strength and "quality mobility." Per reporter Jeff Legwold, Osweiler is "already lining up as the team's No. 2," though he should continue rotating snaps with Caleb Hanie and Adam Weber behind Peyton Manning. Osweiler won't be handed Denver's backup job, but it sounds like he has a good shot at earning it outright.

He had been working as the No. 4, but saw action as the No. 3 on Friday before getting a shot as Peyton Manning's primary backup on Saturday. Osweiler impressed for the most part, but is considered a project and figures to be the No. 3 behind one of Caleb Hanie or Adam Weber this season.
