I don't think we should just throw him right in there. A lot of it will depend on how he's doing during the week."

It sounds like the Bills are ramping up their starting tackle to be ready for Week 1 against the Bears.

Glenn, who had been on the Non-Football Illness list for all of training camp with an undisclosed illness, has passed his physical was cleared to practice Saturday, BuffaloBills.com reports.

Rookie seventh-round pick Seantrel Henderson had proven to be a nice surprise at left tackle filling in for Glenn, but we'll assume the Bills will feel much more comfortable heading into the regular season with perhaps one of the NFL's top dozen left tackles.

Glenn made major improvements in pass protection this season, grading out as the No. 11 left tackle by Pro Football Focus. He was also among the most durable players in the league, starting all 16 games and leading the NFL with 1,180 snaps. The Bills are expected to seek upgrades over LG Doug Legursky and RT Erik Pears this offseason, but Glenn and C Eric Wood are building blocks for the offensive line.

Glenn has held down the fort at left tackle, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 15 overall tackle through ten weeks. He's only given up one sack and has played the most snaps in the league at 748.
