Gradkowski and a 2016 fifth-round pick were officially traded to the Broncos on Thursday in exchange for 2016 fourth-round draft pick, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Gradkowski was forced into a backup role last season with the emergence of Jeremy Zuttah, but the move to Denver should make him the frontrunner for starting center duties. He should have a relatively easy transition to the new organization, as Broncos coach Gary Kubiak formerly served as the Ravens' offensive coordinator during Gradkowski's time in Baltimore.
Wed Jan 8 201416:39Ravens want to get bigger on interior OL
Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome said he's looking for bulkier, more powerful interior offensive linemen this offseason.
C Gino Gradkowski checks in at 6-foot-3, 300 pounds and figures to be the most likely interior line member to be replaced. LG Kelechi Osemele (6-foot-5, 330) was sidelined for much of the year with a back injury, and RG Marshal Yanda (6-foot-3, 305) is one of the better guards in the league. Gradkowski had a terrible season. Arkansas' Travis Swanson (6-foot-4, 318) is widely considered the top center prospect in the 2014 draft and could be a first- or second-round pick.

Ravens C Gino Gradkowski will undergo a knee scope.
Gradkowski started all 16 games this past season, replacing iron man Matt Birk who decided to retire after the Super Bowl. It was a bumpy ride for Gradkowski. He struggled as both a pass protector and run blocker and should face competition for the job in 2014. Gradkowski should be ready in plenty of time for OTAs.

The Ravens' starting center job is considered Gino Gradkowski's to lose.
Gradkowski learned for a year at the foot of Matt Birk. Now that Birk has retired, it's time for the pupil to step into the light. Rookie Ryan Jensen is not a real threat.

Tue May 7 201319:20Gino Gradkowski frontrunner to replace Birk
The Baltimore Sun reports Ravens C Gino Gradkowski "remains the frontrunner" to replace Matt Birk despite Baltimore's sixth-round selection of G/C Ryan Jensen.
"He's definitely going to have every opportunity to be a starting center for us this year," assistant GM Eric DeCosta said of Gradkowski. "He's going to have some competition. He's got the right mentality, the right makeup." The Ravens aren't going to hand the job to the 2012 fourth-rounder, but it would be a major surprise if he couldn't beat out Jensen.

Fri Feb 22 201314:05Gradkowski expected to handle center duties
The Ravens are expected to hand center duties over to Gino Gradkowski after Matt Birk announced his retirement on Friday.
Gradkowski was a fourth-round pick out of Delware last year and is the younger brother of quarterback Bruce Gradkowski. He played guard in college, and has been labeled as "athletic and nasty" in the past.
