Irvin (ribs) is active for Sunday's game in Green Bay, the Seattle Times reports.
Irvin was listed as questionable, but he'll play for a second straight week. He had four tackles (two solo) and a fumble recovery in Week 1, playing the vast majority of defensive snaps.
Mon Aug 24 201517:13Irvin has entered concussion protocol
Irvin has entered the concussion protocol, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Irvin is among the Seahawks' array of pass-rushing threats, but his return will be subject to ridding himself of all concussion symptoms. It wouldn't surprise if he misses both of the remaining preseason contests in order to be ready for the regular season.

Irvin (oblique) is listed as active for Monday night's game against Washington.
With just four tackles in two games to date, the 2012 first-rounder is off the fantasy radar in most cases, however.

Irvin (oblique) fully participated in Saturday's practice and is listed as probable for Monday night's game against Washington, the Seahawks' official site reports.
Irvin will play for the first time since Sept. 14, but with just four tackles in two games this season, he doesn't offer much fantasy appeal.
Sun Sep 21 201415:29Irvin (ribs) inactive for Sunday's game against Denver
Irvin (ribs) is inactive for Sunday's game against Denver, the Seahawks' official site reports.
With Irvin out, O'Brien Schofield and Cassius Marsh are in line to see added work in the Seahawks' defense on Sunday.
Fri Sep 19 201419:46Irvin (ribs) questionable for Sunday's game against Denver
Irvin (ribs) is questionable for Sunday's game against Denver.
As a backup linebacker, the question of whether Irvin is available Sunday matters little to both IDP leagues and the Seahawks defense.
Thu Sep 4 201419:15Irvin (hip) active for Thursday's game against Packers
Irvin (hip) is active for Thursday's game against the Packers, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
Irvin focused on his recovery from offseason hip surgery during training camp, and despite only practicing for the first time Sunday, he was able to practice in full by Wednesday. Expect him to start at outside linebacker, acting as a supreme pass rushing threat.
Wed Sep 3 201421:05Irvin (hip) participated fully in Wednesday's practice
Irvin (hip) participated fully in Wednesday's practice.
Absent for the entire preseason, Irvin returned to practice Monday and ramped up to full strength in the final round of drills before Thursday's opener against the Packers. With his recovery from hip surgery behind him, he'll go to work against an offensive line that is occasionally leaky in its protection of Aaron Rodgers.
Mon Sep 1 201416:56Irvin returned to practice Sunday
Irvin, who missed training camp and preseason games while completing rehab after offseason hip surgery, returned to practice Sunday, the team's official site reports.
It was the first time Irvin was in pads since the Super Bowl. Irvin might not be ready for Week 1, considering his lengthy recovery. It's an important year for him to prove that he is a three-down player. He played only 17 plays in the Super Bowl, all at defensive end after starting at strongside linebacker during the season. It's time for him to justify his first-round pick in 2012 (15th overall).
Mon Aug 25 201415:43Irvin (hip) on track to return to practice next week
Irvin (hip) is on track to return to practice next week, the Everett Herald reports.
Irvin, who underwent hip surgery in June, is "doing great" according to coach Pete Carroll. While he remains of Seattle's PUP list, Irvin could be activated to return to practice next week. However, given the close proximity to the Seahawks' Sept. 4 opener versus the Packers, Irvin may be hard-pressed to be cleared fit in Week 1. A key component at outside linebacker, expect Irvin's status to be updated as the regular season approaches.
Fri Aug 15 201418:07Irvin will return to practice next week
Irvin, who has not participated in training camp because of a hip injury, will return to practice next week, the team's official site reports.
Irvin underwent surgery in early June. He is expected to be ready for the season opener, but that's not a lock. The 2012 first-round pick has a lot to prove this season. The Seahawks tried to used him at OLB last season after he played his rookie season as a defensive end. How exactly he is used this season remains to be seen.
Fri Jul 25 201416:53Seahawks place Bruce Irvin on active/PUP
Seahawks placed SLB Bruce Irvin (hip surgery) on active/PUP.
Irvin is expected to miss most or all of training camp, with coach Pete Carroll suggesting in June the 2012 first-round pick might not be ready for Week 1. If Irvin isn't ready for the opener, the Seahawks could enter the year with a starting linebacker corps of Bobby Wagner, K.J. Wright, and Malcolm Smith.

Mon Jul 14 201407:47Bruce Irvin says hip feels 100 times better
Bruce Irvin said his surgically repaired hip feels "100 times better."
Irvin didn't say anything about his status for training camp, but at least we know he's had no setbacks. If the 2012 first-rounder can get back on the field sometime in August, he'll compete for snaps at strongside linebacker with K.J. Wright, Malcolm Smith and O'Brien Schofield.

Mon Jun 9 201418:18Seahawks hope Irvin (hip) is back for Week 1
Coach Pete Carroll hinted SLB Bruce Irvin (hip) may not be ready for the start of the season.
"He's dealt with it for a long time and it just got to a point where we thought it was better to have a chance to have him back for the start of the season, which is a possibility, so we'll see what happens," Carroll said. Irvin underwent hip surgery earlier this month and seems to have already been ruled out for camp. K.J. Wright, Malcolm Smith, and O'Brien Schofield will get the summer reps.

Mon Jun 2 201416:49Seahawks' Bruce Irvin undergoes hip surgery
Bruce Irvin underwent hip surgery on Monday, and there's "no real prognosis yet" for his recovery.
Irvin is obviously questionable for the beginning of training camp, and perhaps even Week 1. A serious injury could go as far as knocking him out for the season. The Seahawks should clarify his status some time between now and when camp starts next month. Ticketed for a combo rush/outside linebacker role, Irvin is coming off a disappointing 2013 where he was suspended for the first four games, and played only 19 snaps in the Seahawks' Super Bowl victory.

Tue Feb 25 201420:50Bruce Irvin's 2014 role headed for 'blend'?
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll expects Bruce Irvin's role to be a "blend" between outside linebacker and LEO-rush duties in 2014.
"(It) will continue to be a blend of the outside backer 'stuff and the rush end stuff, and we are thrilled about him," Carroll said at the Combine. "He had a really good year playing linebacker and we want to continue to develop his rush ability." With K.J. Wright (foot) back for the Super Bowl, Irvin played only 19 snaps. For the regular season, Irvin played 513 snaps across 12 games, notching two sacks. He needs to take a step forward in 2014.

Seahawks SLB Bruce Irvin's four-game suspension is over.
Irvin returned to the Seahawks' facility Monday afternoon. The team will have to make a move to clear a roster spot. Irvin will likely play mostly a pass-rushing role with Malcolm Smith manning the strong side on early downs.

Wed Aug 7 201316:20Bruce Irvin dealing with groin injury
Seahawks OLB Bruce Irvin will miss Friday's preseason opener with a groin injury.
It's notable because the suspended Irvin is trying to learn strong-side linebacker, and Friday is just one of four opportunities he'll have to take the field before Week 5. "We are frustrated by that. These games are really important to him," coach Pete Carroll said. "He's one of the (guys) that has a chance to really show something in this little bit of a transition to playing SAM backer for us." Carroll went on to say Irvin is "really close." It's not a long-term concern.

Wed Jul 10 201309:42Seahawks Irvin to play more OLB
Coach Pete Carroll says he plans to move defensive end Bruce Irvin to outside linebacker, where he'll compete with Malcolm Smith for the starting job.
Irvin will still see looks as a defensive end in nickel pass-rushing situations, but isn't big enough to ever earn a full time role on the defensive line. Carroll brought up Irvin's versatility as being extremely valuable to the team, and added "We're a 4-3 personnel system that plays 3-4 looks," indicating Irvin will get plenty of pass rush opportunities at outside linebacker. Expect Irvin to win the job from Smith after serving his four-game suspension for PEDs.

Fri May 17 201316:22Seahawks DE Irvin suspended 4 games for PEDs
NFL suspended Seahawks DE Bruce Irvin four games for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing substances.
Irvin has no plans to appeal, admitting he took the substance without a medical exemption. He'll participate in training camp and preseason, then be barred from all Seahawks activities until Week 5. Irvin, the 15th overall pick in last year's draft, registered eight sacks and a forced fumble as a nickel-rushing rookie. Seattle is deep enough to withstand Irvin's loss after adding Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett to their pass-rushing corps.
