Signed to the 53-man roster last week, Crawford was inactive for Monday's game against Seattle and now finds himself without a job. Crawford, 24, played in 10 games with Washington as a rookie in 2012, recording 18 tackles (13 solo), one fumble recovery and one interception.

Crawford saw extensive action as Washington's nickel back in 2012, but tore his ACL while suffering damage to his LCL and PCL in Washington's third preseason game. He'll rehab the knee and try to make the roster again in 2014.

Updating a previous item, Redskins CB Richard Crawford is done for the year after tearing his LCL and possibly his ACL in Saturday's preseason game.
Crawford exited early in the first quarter with was originally classified as a "sprained knee." It's much worse than that. Crawford is an important depth corner, and also flashed as a punt returner in spot action. He should be healthy in time for OTAs and minicamp next spring.

Redskins CB Richard Crawford is expected to get a shot at nickel duties in 2013.
Crawford, a 2012 seventh-round pick out of SMU, appeared in ten games as a rookie, making 18 tackles and picking off one pass. Washington gave him a shot early on in the year, but he then went on to play just five snaps from Week 6 to Week 15. With veteran Cedric Griffin set for free agency, Crawford is the next man up behind starters DeAngelo Hall and Josh Wilson.
