Pace (groin) is expected to play week 1, NJ.com reports.

Pace (groin) doesn't believe his injury is a long-term issue and he is unsure of his playing status Saturday against the Giants, Dennis Waszak Jr. of the Associated Press reports.
Even is Pace sits out the dress rehearsal game Saturday, it's looking like he'll have a good chance to be on the field in week 1. He's expecting to be used more as a pass rusher after being used frequently in coverage last year. After recording 10 sacks in 2013, he clearly has upside in new head coach Todd Bowles' defense.

Pace is day-to-day with a strained groin, ESPN.com reports.
It seems as if Pace should be ready for the season opener, which is over two weeks away. After posting 10 sacks in 2013, he fell to 4.5 last year, but he'll be used more as a pass rusher in new head coach Todd Bowles defensive scheme. Under former head coach Rex Ryan, he was frequently used in pass coverage.

Thu Feb 27 201414:28Report: Jets have yet to talk with OLB Pace
The New York Daily News reports the Jets have yet to engage in contract talks with free agent OLB Calvin Pace.
The Jets are on the record as wanting Pace back, but prefer to slow play talks. With Pace going on 34, the sides will likely haggle over years. Pace will undoubtedly push for 2-3, with the Jets insisting on one. Pace is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, notching 53 tackles and 10 sacks as a 16-game starter.

Wed Jan 22 201414:04Jets interested in re-signing Calvin Pace
The Jets are "very interested" in re-signing impending free agent OLB Calvin Pace.
Pace, 33, is coming off one of the best seasons of his career. He started all 16 games for the third consecutive season and recorded 53 tackles and a career-best 10 sacks. The Jets still need to be eyeing younger pass rushers in the draft this year, but re-signing Pace to a one-year deal would make plenty of sense.

Pace was released by the Jets in a February salary cap purge. He'll get penciled back into the starting lineup opposite Antwan Barnes, but the Jets should still be pursuing pass-rushing help. Pace, 32 and declining sharply, has recorded a total of 13 sacks over the last three season.

Sun Jan 6 201315:06Jets expected to release Pace, Scott, Smith
The Jets are expected to release OLB Calvin Pace, ILB Bart Scott, OT Jason Smith, and S Eric Smith as soon as the waiver period opens in February.
Pace has been one of the least productive pass rushers in the league over the past hree seasons. The moves will save $8.56 million on Pace, $7.15 million on Scott, $12 million on Jason Smith, and $3 million on Eric Smith while accounting for just $4.5 million in dead money. The Jets will have still little cap space with just 10 starters under contract.

Wed Mar 16 201117:39Pace among least effective pass rushers
Calvin Pace ranked among the bottom five outside linebackers in a pass-rushing effectiveness study recently published by ProFootballFocus.com.
The study basically factors in sacks, hits, and pressures divided by pass-rushing opportunities. Pace's failure to generate consistent pressure leaves outside linebacker as a top need going into the draft. The Chiefs' Tamba Hali ranked as the top outside linebacker, the Pats' Mike Wright as the top interior lineman, and the Eagles' Brandon Graham as the top rookie in PFF's study.

Tue Oct 26 201012:20Pace not 100 percent, but will play
Jets OLB Calvin Pace said his surgically repaired foot might not be 100 percent until the offseason, but he feels well enough to start.
"I don't know if he's 100 percent, but I think he'll be just fine come Sunday," coach Rex Ryan said of Pace. Ryan admitted that the linebacker was "really" sore after his return in Week 5, but he was able to play in Week 6. The lingering soreness could certainly affect Pace's production this season.

Sat Oct 9 201009:29Pace will likely return Mpnday vs. Vikings
When asked how LB Calvin Pace's return would impact the unit, Jet's defensive coordinator Mike Pettine remarked, "It'll be a rotation."
Pace is expected to make his season debut Monday against the Vikings. Pace will rotate with Jason Taylor, who has done a great job filling in with Pace sidelined. The Jets sport one of the leagues top defenses without Pace, and the pass-rushing linebacker's return marks an upgrade for everyone on the unit.

ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that Jets LB Calvin Pace (foot) has been ruled out for Week 4 against the Bills.
Jason Taylor, normally a passing down specialist at this stage of his career, has done an admirable job filling as a full-time ROLB, and shouldn't be a major downgrade against the Bills.
